With the SIM card slot removed from the center console, can one still swap SIMs? i.e. is it located somewhere else now? I've read here folks recommending that change.

You're stuck with the internal SIM and Porsche service if you have a 2022. On the plus side, they went with a higher QoS MVNO and the connectivity performance appears to be better. That being said, lock-in is lock-in.

Just collected my MY22 911 C4S and I’m not sure if I got the latest PCM? Is there anyway of checking?
Also, there seems to be 2 new updates available, I’m not sure whenever to install these as they cannot be uninstalled once installed…

If you have a '22 then you have the new one.

Yes, you can scroll through your favorites…but only in one direction. Should have had a rotary dial like the BMW, so you can easily scroll up/down through your favorites.

Finally finished (almost) setting up 2022 brought home Saturday.
the bad; it is not anymore intuitive than previous version and has less customization options.
Don’t try to set up anything with the “quick start guide” it’s for previous PCM not 6.0.
Acces to Homelink isn’t any better and still requires several steps to open close screen even with shortcut.
Took me about it attempts to get Apple Play working.
The good: after years of not being able to scroll through your favorite stations list, it’s finally here. Previously the next track button on the steering wheel left side would play the next numerical station but now it scrolls just through your favorites list.
setting up Garage doors to homelink is easier.

It's called "Reduced" and it's available in the center right gage functions. Browse through the various gage options and it is there. Just press the scroll wheel to select it.

The subscription option for CarPlay was originally part of the 2022 Price List, but then dropped (around April/May), ie it’s free of charge. They basically followed BMW, who also did a180 on this.

Press the learn button on the garage door unit. Go in the car, enter Homelink and start the setup. Follow the directions and aim the remote at the PCM and press the button until it takes.
