I had a purchase order, just no deposit. I'm local and I've bought a bunch of cars through this dealer, so that's part of it.

Not a big deal if your dealer requires one - it could very well be a directive from ownership. My only point was that legitimate orders can exist without deposits.

I'll echo this. I've bought a number of cars through my dealership and its other branches over the years. When I wanted to move on a 992 C4S and they didn't have an allocation immediately available they created an order demand and got me in line with no deposit. A few weeks later they had a spot for me and we moved forward.

They only asked for a deposit from me once the allocation was confirmed and my build was finalized / accepted by PAG for my commission (it's a PTS order). The deposit amount was significantly higher than I've traditionally done with this dealership, but they had a change of ownership recently and apparently the new owner (a large group with 100s of dealerships) dictates a minimum deposit amount.

I just wish I could find a GTS allocation without markup.
Anywhere.
Or even a Turbo allocation.

I had asked for a gts allocation a while back before canceling. When I called pcna support for a separate issue, they had asked if it was for my gts. That’s how I knew I had the allocation. Dealer said he had placed an order with Porsche as soon as he could.

per the cancellation request, he advised I waited as I have nothing to lose.

Interesting, I wasn't aware allocations were available for the 992 GTS as of yet. Perhaps you had an order demand?

You might be correct, because he said he will apply the build information whenever it is assigned. I remember being confused as to why it needs to be assigned when I seem to have an allocation. Makes sense. Regardless, the list of very long, he said more than the GT3, only difference being they feel more confident getting allocations for GTS over Gt3.

I think they are coming in October.

I placed a $1k deposit at a local dealer back in July, and have been left in the dark, but they texted today saying please configure my GTS online and send the build code over because Porsche is requesting it.

They said I was #1 on their list when I made the deposit.

Encouraging....I am first in line as well. Hoping it is just pushed back until next month.

Can you tell us which dealer? That ADM seems pretty high.

Anyone knows a good Sales Contact I can work with at Beverly Hills Porsche? I bought a couple cars from BH Porsche in the past but my Sales guy left the dealership last year. Want to leverage the returning customer relationship and see if I can get an allocation on a 992 GTS… I know, I probably have to wait for 18-24 months for the car.

I have an order, but no allocation. My SA said they should know by early November.
