My mother always told me to never discuss politics, religion or LCA in mixed company . . . yet here we are ![order](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/order.gif)
In my build thread there is clearly a rift between people that think that LCA is not needed. This is your chance to vote on this feature.

Why skimp on a safety feature? You will not regret it after the first time LCA saves you from hitting a car as you try to get around the slow poke in front of you

I say yea. It takes some getting used to but you just need to get the workflow down.

23k miles on my 992 C4S. It has saved me more than a few times. Should be a standard feature.
Again, this is Lane Change Assist (LCA), the blind spot feature that illuminates LED in your mirror to warn you that someone is in the lane or rapidly approaching in the lane.

LCA is an unobtrusive safety feature that has saved my bacon a couple of times. Worth every penny, although why it's not standard and Comfort Access now is makes me scratch my head (BTW, paid for both options on my 2020).

You gotta be an idiot to buy this feature. Seriously. Where did you people learn to drive? Buy a Tesla with Autodrive if you can't keep your car in your lane of travel safely FFS.

It's a tool in your safety tool chest. It doesn't absolve you from manual, over-the-shoulder checks. That one time when you miss the vehicle rocketing past you while passing on your right, this will come in handy.

LKA is lane keep assist, which is probably what you’re confusing LCA with.

No I am not, I turned it off. I still don't understand the necessity for this feature at all. Keep your eyes moving, check mirrors, look forward, check mirrors, rinse, repeat.
More importantly: if you want this feature, ORDER it and forget about defending your decision and be done with it. Opinions, holes, etc. The reason I turned it off was bc there a biker next to me and the system didn't pick it up. It scared me to think if I relied on the system, I would've hit the biker. I instinctively turned my head (left) and saw him before passing and was glad I did.

The numbers don't lie, LCA is ahead by a country mile in the poll. Let's see where this all ends up . . .
