Drifting
The more people post about this, the more I think that the sport chrono option isn't worth the hassle.

Hi
I have just taken delivery of a brand new 2023 MY 992 Turbo S. It does EXACTLY the same. Noticed it when I drove it away from the dealer. It is going in on the 17th august to have new mounts fitted. I have really tired hard to identify when this happens. It is almost not noticeable when the car is driven from cold. If you drive the car for say 10 miles then it becomes more noticeable . If you drive 10 miles and then park the car up for half an hour and then drive it again the noise is very very obvious. I think the heat soak effect of the engine gradually increases the temperature of the dampers and make the fluid in them less viscous and as such the dampers maybe have more movement . the service bulletin referred to in this thread actually says if new dampers are fitted in may not fix the problem.
My MY 21 992 turbo S did not have this problem. I will post again once I have had the work done

Hopefully it does resolve the sound, but speaking from experience I think it will be sometime before we know if it actually resolved the issue. In my case the sound/rattle came back after about 1k miles/6mos and has progressively gotten louder and is back to the same state pre-replacement. Granted I had rev A mounts as my replacement, so I'm really hoping for the best for those getting this resolved with the latest version mounts.

Same issue with the 992 in Brazil. Just got a Turbo 23/23, 200 miles. Two times in the dealers, all the excuses that I read in this forum were presented. They have no idea on what to do with it.

Agree with you. It is YOUR car so you should buy it exactly how YOU want it, not what me or anyone else wants. But just pointing out that there is a difference between what comes with SC option based on which transmission option is selected. That is why SC is so much more expensive on the configurator for the PDK. Best wishes.

I hear you guys but when you turn on SC you definitely feel the difference and the car feels invincible.

Having had my PADM mounts replaced in the 500 mile range, My impression is that these noises are inherent in the design and or something one has to live with.
Something I have seen mentioned in this forum but not confirmed, is switching to regular rubber mounts, and changing the code presumably in the controller, to reflect their absence.
I have learned that the controller for the dynamic motor mounts also controls the electronic shock absorbers.
...edit: And I forgot to add that the primary reason for replacement was the error message.

My engine mounts were replaced last Summer, 2022. I took delivery of a 22' 911 Cab in December 2021.
14,600 miles and the replacement mounts have pretty much solved the issue. Infrequent vibration, becoming less noticeable.
At the time of replacement, I learned that the mounts had been redesigned to accommodate the. reengineered mounting frame for the 992.
My dealer was very proactive.
