I want to buy from that dealer for personal reasons.

However as far as the search, I missed out on being able to get a 981 GT4/GTS in 2016, for multiple reasons, but in my efforts (maximum) I literally checked every website, of every dealer's inventory in the country (USA).

What a DA, troll comment. It's a Porsche 992 with a bit more hp and torque than an S, bigger brakes and stiffer suspension. Start there. Really going to make a decision based on reviews? This is not a first rodeo for a lot of folks on here that know the brand and who don't need the media to guide their personal buying decisions. Way to introduce yourself.

Oh and I'm doing the model delete on mine dunce.

Anyone have any idea on what 992 GTS 1/4 mile time will look like? I read the Porsche official number is 11.5s but that seems wildly conservative. A 992 C2S does 11.2@125 and GT3 does 10.8@128. I wonder if the GTS will be able to beat the GT3 through the quarter mile? That would be a first

Farah’s review is interesting, as his affect/tone seem rather understated. Very little enthusiasm compared to the C2S video he shot mid last year. He must be seriously stuck on the 911 hedonic treadmill.

Truth be told, while I love my ‘21 C2S, the GTS does have elements that give me some FOMO. The revised, louder version of PSE and Turbo suspension/brakes seem to make it a notch more raw. Need to get myself some SOUL Sport Cats to close the gap

Revised louder version of PSE? Or just louder for the GTS? From Farrah’s review?

I was thinking the same, possibly just the reported less sound deadening?

I had read elsewhere that the GTS PSE muffler configuration was slightly different than the C2S PSE, and thus louder. Possible I misunderstood though.

That jumped out at me too. One review said it was due to the PCM 6.0 allowing it, but he didn’t say if that applies to all manual cars with the 6.0. That would be great (and long overdue) if that annoyance is corrected on all cars. Not having rev matching indecently selectable is extremely annoying to me.

I read the same thing in The Drive article posted up there 👆🏼 somewhere. New rear muffler with larger cross pipes. Kind of interesting that they went to the trouble. Looking forward to hearing one above 5000 rpm.

Someone mentioned that the suspension was identical to the C2S with Sport PASM. Are the helper springs on the dampers not new ? I thought that was a GT3 thing. But may be mixing up pieces of cars, again.

Maybe they're trying to counter the particulate filters.....

Same thought occurred to me. Especially in the EU. Is that thing in the U.S versions yet ? I love the environment, but I also love loud noises; straight pipe jet engines, music and Porsche’s. Conflicted

I watched all of the reviews (including the RBR review, which just dropped) a couple of times.

Here is my biggest takeaway from the reviews is the cars with the Lightweight Package sounded AMAZING! The "Standard" cars without the Lightweight Package, not as much. The Lightweight Package ones sounded really raw, there was a lot of exhaust and engine noise coming into the cabin. That removed insulation seems to make a huge difference in that regard. You really hear it in the RBR review.

My context is from driving the Cayman GTS 4.0 Manual for the past six months (10,000 miles of spirited driving in those six months), which I also find to be very raw in a great way, like the Lightweight Package 992 GTS does in the reviews.

The challenge is that I would want the 18-Ways over the Carbon Buckets, not a combination available with the reduction in insulation and Rear Seat Delete part of the Lightweight Package. A real dilemma!

You want 18-ways, and "less insulation"? If so, that's a thing.
