I went with a more traditional install (former 12v installer) - The fuse taps look shoddy IMO.
At the top of the drivers fuse box there is 2 large plugs and a smaller one to the left. The middle one has a thin black wire which is 12v accessory, the far right one has a thick red/blue wire (35A) which is your 12v, ground is behind the dead pedal.

Actually the only complaint I have about the fuse taps is that I can't place the purple fuse "protectors" on with the fuse taps in place.

Took this during install. Military splice. you could do this on passenger side, just need to identify the wires.
I can grab a picture of it cleaned up if you want.

Does anyone have settings that they could recommend?
I installed it a week ago, bur because of the hard suspension and driving style I get a lot of "event notifications" while driving.
I also get an event notification every time I open and close the door when it's in parking mode. I would like to keep some sensitivity and notifications while in parking mode so I know if something happens while I am away, but the alert every time I open and close the door will get old.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Thank you for everyone's detail of write up, pictures and discussion. with this thread, i was able to successfully install my dashcam. However, I am having hard time putting back the carpeted panel for the fusebox.
Does anyone has any tips to putting this panel back together?
Thank you!!
