Naw! The stop-sale for 2021’s was put into effect last year. TheScout13 has a 2022 on order and tried to add the AK yesterday because his build locks on 7/7. His S/A was unable to add it and showed him the stop-sale information. He hit me up right away and I contacted my S/A. My S/A was unaware, but said he’d follow up when he returns to work in a couple of days.

Thanks
My SA said Q4 allocations are handed out next month about a week ago, so that probably means sometime in July, this month.

This is very bad news if correct!

Hmmm. If this is true, to get a wing, I need to upgrade from C2S to GT3 (not likely anytime in the next year or so) or Turbo/Turbo S. Question I need to answer for myself is if I can tolerate 4WD, wider car, heavier car, and no extended range tank - not to mention $25-$60k incremental cost! And my wife won’t let me get one without a wing, so I guess turbo it is …

Thanks for sharing. Question I have is what this means - Does this means stop for new allocations from 7/1 through end of August or is it for build dates 7/1 for 8 weeks? My order was entered 5/10, though now shows 6/23. Build is in September so I’m wondering if this applies to me or not. Will need to check with my SA tomorrow.

I secured my allocation back in April for a late August production and November delivery. So don’t think it’s that. It could be any new orders or changes to the existing orders pre-freeze date that are getting rejected by PCNA starting 7/1. I changed my previously accepted order on 6/30 and it got rejected.

I think it means for allocations in July not builds in July. Mine is being built in July and there are no delays reported.

I see. Bummer situation for you for sure. Would be good if you could undo the change …

Actually, my SA has been recommending not to change anything. I guess good advice.

For those with significant Porsche experience, how difficult do you think it'll be to retrofit the wing considering it's fixed and shouldn't require any real internals?

The biggest issues I see is that the bumper cover is different, the relocation of the third brake light, and the coding to disable the auto-wing functionality. If Porsche sells a kit, I don’t imagine it would be too difficult.

I thought the Sport Design rear bumper was the same for both AK and non-AK cars. Based on what I can tell from photos, the bumper shouldn't be an issue at all since the wing is above the tail light and all of the cars have the same tail lights. I do think it should be fairly cut and dry if you change to the appropriate decklid slats/engine cover and remove the motor from the auto-wing.

Im talking about the 3rd brake light which isn’t on the bumper. The third brake light on the normal car is the two vertical bars on the black engine vent slats. In the AK car, there are no brake lights in the vertical vent slats and instead it’s a horizontal bar on the wing.
