Aged since I last posted in this thread. Now I am 74. Got my first and only Porsche 6 months ago. Previously I was a Corvette guy with an occasional BMW thrown in.
Now is the time. Glad you are fortunate enough to get into one at some point as our time here is short.
Ordered my first and only Porsche at 40, received it at 41. Salute to those if you on your 15th; you’ve done well in life.
I’m 32 with 2 kids under 3 and a wife who also works. Might not make financial sense this young but we save enough each year and only debt we have is our mortgage with about $300k @ 2.9%. Don’t intend on acquiring any other debt than that.
I think it’s fine. Our kids aren’t going to be young forever. If you think about it, the majority of their life spent with you is already approaching like 75% by age 12.
But then again, lots of boomerang kids these days.
Could be the oldest on this forum… 1st 911 was a Targa in 1973 at age 30 and then 6 cabs to my current Targa 4 GTS. Still going strong and thinking GT3 RS.
Did an auto cross recently but must admit the 911 was faster than my brain could process. Damn cones kept jumping into my path. No issues in or out with the 18 ways that support my back from crashes racing an Aprilia and Ducati at age 50.

9 PCars so far with #10 ordered.
1995 993 (Should have kept it)
* Time off to raise 3 kids and then back at it
2016 C2
2108 C4S
2019 TTS
2022 GTS
2024 TTS (Ordered)
2107 Macan S
2023 Macan GTS
2023 Cayenne Turbo Coupe (Hers)
2023 Cayenne Turbo Coupe (His)
Everytime I strayed away from Porsche I came back pretty quick.
I knew getting an allocation was sometimes difficult...but to have to wait till 2107 for a Macan...that's dedication right there!

For @ Staffie Guy I am approaching 75 but had my first two Porsches at 21 none in between though raced other peoples in my twenties.
Waiting, hopefully only weeks away from my new 911T arriving currently on vessel.
Praying it will live up to all the hype?
Quite likely we are the oldest on Rennlist? Any octogenarians out there on the forum? Please call out?
