What I find most interesting is the similar size of the 40-50 and 60-70 segments while the 50-60 segment is about half the size of those preceding and succeeding, ignoring the overlap of the segments. Generational? Fun, then oh I better save for my future, then I have enough to have fun again? Something related to the earnings cycle of the segments? A fairly common theme for the 60-70 year old bracket has been the purchase of a 992 to celebrate retirement. In fact, I just retired at 63 and I am doing the same thing.
