Default Lava Orange 992 C4S Project

Hey Rennlist,

Decided to put together a project thread for my Lava Orange 992 C4S. I picked it up a few weeks back, and it has been an awesome car so far. Coming from a 991 C4S, 991 Turbo S and 991.2 C4, the technology in the 992 has definitely advanced, and it is pretty interesting how Porsche has revamped the interior layout, and even adapted the media interface across the model line. It is pretty similar feeling to the new Audi models, and the digital instrument display is pretty nifty as well.

Most options are ticked for this car. Besides being a Carrera 4S, a few options include the PDK gearbox, Gloss Black Carrera S wheels, Sports Chrono, Axle lift, Glass roof, Black Leather interior, 18 way Sport seats, etc etc.

The car didn't stay standard for too long, a set of H&R VTF height adjustable lowering springs made their way on along with 7mm front and 15mm rear H&R wheel spacers. The orange front side marker lights were swapped out in favor of the clear light housings. The front end is clear bra film protected, and the windows have been ceramic film tinted with a windshield strip. An Inconel exhaust system from Kline Innovation is on order with a few other odds and ends. Stay tuned for further upgrades, I just had the car tuned by GIAC today but didn't have the chance to really drive it just yet. So, more on that later! For now, here are a few shots:

Please share more info on your mods. What size spacers did you use? Also, I assume you have a 2021? Were there any issues w/ the GIAC tune? Some people have indicated there are problems tuning a 2021. I like how you didn't slam the car. It looks very tastefully lowered compared to standard non-adjustable H&R springs.

Just updated my post, I went with 7mm front and 15mm rear spacers for a nice and flush fit. No issues with the tuning, since its the new Bosch MG1 style ECU in these cars, had to remove the computer for a bench flash (though GIAC will be able to port flash soon, they can now, but still working on setting it up for dealers). The rear wing and engine covers are removed but its a painless process.

I didn't want to slam the car, since the factory dampers are still in place, they aren't really meant to sit low and ride well. It will eventually get corner balanced, but it rides really nice as is (the rear is close to stock height, and the front was dropped to match and get rid of the factory reverse rake)

Grabbed them from my local Porsche dealer's parts department.

Hah, pardon my amateur photo skills, I haven't shot too many orange cars so far

Maybe I read that wrong, but shouldn't the spacers be the opposite? 7mm rear and 15 front for a flush look?

Nope, ran 15s on the rear and the 7s up front for a flush fit.

Now I'm super confused. I have 7mm and 14mm spacers from H&R and I'm pretty sure they said 14 in front and there are threads here that state the same. Not that your car looks bad in any way, but now I'm worried that I put them on wrong lol. FML

Please post some pictures of your car from rear showing qtr panel and how rear tire sits and front fender showing how flush yours looks so we can compare. I've also read that 992s need wider spacers up front than rear but would be great to see pictures as recommendations on spacer size are all over the place.
