configuring my new base 992 coupe. I have everything done, but I have head ache with colour combination. I really love red interiors (my ex 991.1 was full red interior with white exterior), but now I really want Guards Red and here is the problem. My options including my opinion.
1. GR with full bordeaux red. I think too much red, but my ex F California was exactly like this I loved it few years ago, now I think it is not a good idea
2. GR with black/bordeaux with deviated stitching. I think this should be OK, I think black can nicely cut the split of 2 different reds, not sure if it will be nice in real. Never seen on pictures. I know, it will be better with Carmine, but I like GR much more.
3. GR with truffle brown with chalk stitching. Looks classy and combines luxury and sporty, but I am worried it is too much Ferrari combination. If cohiba will be available in 992, this would be awesome.
4. GR with slate/chalk. The best combination, but I am not sure I can get over grey part. If chalk will be combined with Black, this would be winner
5. GR with mojave/black looks soooo nice, but my opinion on mojave is... simply it is the first option to black in every car if you have option to choose color
If you have or you have seen some of these combinations, I will appreciate your opinion or photos

I am going with a GR C2S Cab with full black leather and deviated stitching in GR. I was thinking of Mojave Beige / Black as I like a lighter color in a Cab, but I saw it in real life and it looked cheap and got dirty quickly. The GR stitching really pops against their black leather..
If you are firm on Guards Red (which I love), the only current interior that will stand the test of time is black. If Porsche had a nice tan leather, like Ferrari red/tan, that would be great but they don't so black it is. Bordeaux/Black works great with chalk, dark grey but not red.
Good luck.

Hard to say. I kind of like the contrast between GR and Bordeaux.
Below is a collage created using the configurator pics.
Hello guys, really appreciate your comments. Finally, after long long research of pictures, visiting the dealer and comparing leather samples on different exterior colours I decided to go away from GR. Full bordeaux interior with chalk stitching and chalk seat belts is a thing I can not live without and it really doesnt look good with GR. I decided for Carrara white metallic.
RS spyder wheels better hide small rotors on the base model, but I really love the look of Carrera classic wheels and they are also a lot cheaper.
Nice! I had the same dilemma of picking an interior color to go with GR exterior. Never could find one I really liked so I stuck w/ black w/ chalk stitching. That bordeaux red interior looks great though and I agree it would look good w/ white exterior. I went w/ the carrera classics as well and they look awesome in real life. Lots of depth and subtle details. I think they looked good in the pictures and even better in real life.
Thank you. Still considering RS spyder wheels just because they hide better small rotors of base model, but not sure I want to pay extra for wheels only for this reason.
I dont like black interiors. Even the contrast stitching is able to save it. My daily Audi S8 is all black interior and there is zero emotion. My opinion. Chalk/grey interior is the best combo for GR imho.

This is my (I hope) final config
Have you seen the Bordeaux in person? In the configurator photos it looks darker, other photos I have seen - its a brighter red.
I have a red 65 Mustang convertible with red interior. I love it, but only drive that car a few times a year. I personally prefer black interiors with accent stitching. Ultimately you gotta do what make makes you smile.
