Hi all, so the corners on the leading edge of the top on my 2020 911 Carrera cabriolet are discolored, kind of yellowish whitish, much worse on the passenger side. Please see below photos. Any ideas on why this is happening? Any advice on how to pursue this with my dealer? The car was sold as new to me very recently but sat on another dealer's lot for a long time, so I do wonder about that. Many thanks for any thoughts.

Is that just tree pollen ? Did you try washing it off with car soap and water?
You will find that is classified as cosmetic and as tops are pricey and you probably won't get any traction with a warranty inquiry. They are not likely to cover frame tension wear and discoloration
I did have stitching come loose for about ten threads on my 2014 991 Cab at the four year mark and they replaced the top on that (I had CPO Warranty) and broken stitching cannot be repaired.. Convertible tops DO wear out over time so set aside about $ 8K for a new one down the road.
So first, no, I haven't tried washing off yet, that's a good idea you may be right, but I'm worried the dealer will say I screwed something up. And second, @drcollie this is a brand new to me car and was sold to me as a NEW car, so this is not wear and tear that I am responsible for. Thanks.
You are concerned about washing your car? Never heard that one before.
2020 is NOT a new car. Look at the production date on the door jamb, that's how long it has been sitting around. If you paid new car money for that and didn't get a CPO warranty (I guarantee you the warranty was punched on that unit) then that selling dealer got the better end of that deal. Once the warranty is punched (started) as far as Porsche is concerned its a used car.
i don't even see what op is unhappy about. congrats on the car, op, drive it and enjoy it. being less particular about every speck of dust will lead to better enjoyment and better overall health. do they make PPF for convertible tops? :P
Ok, first, thanks for all the responses, particularly those of you who said stop obsessing and enjoy the car!!! Second, yes, it's probably pollen and I will give it a gentle scrub and see. Finally, @drcollie I think you are mistaken generally and you are certainly mistaken in my case, as I have documentary proof from both Porsche and my dealer that my 4-year warranty began running the day I bought it. After all, who asks the dealer, "hey, when was this car manufactured so I can subtract those months from my warranty?"??
I’ve never seen fading on a Porsche top and I’ve looked at many going back 10 years old. I can’t speak to stitching issues other than I’ve never seen that either. Normally when you see discoloration it’s dirt. Make sure after you clean the top well, put some sealer on it. It not only keeps it from letting water and dirt in, it also provides UV protection. 303 and rag topp are both good products and easy to apply

No. A new car, and the warranty, begin upon first purchase date. This could be a holdover car, leftover inventory, etc. Date of manufacture is irrelevant.
Now, a loaner/demo vehicle is something else, but those are clearly sold as used and normally have a CPO warranty.

Thats not always true. Porsche dealers sell “new” cars all the time that have had the warranty punched for a few months. They are sold as new because they have never been titled .
