The color isn't for us. It's for people who buy Taycans. I actually think that it looks pretty great. We even played with a Taycan Cross Turismo configuration that paired it with Aurum wheels -- the combination is legit special.

Yeah, so there's a lot of context in that photo.
1. It looks like a very metropolitan APEC city - likely Shanghai or Taipei.
2. It's a very striking color. Not unlike how Apple had a few years of Rose Gold.
3. EVs are in—of course it's on the homepage.

Some Googling suggests this is indeed Shanghai (or photoshopped to look like it.) It's the RWD Taycan in Frozenberry as launched there at least.

my wife noticed it during my endless logging for TYD. she liked it (maybe jokingly as she said "you're going to buy me a pink porsche?"). it wouldn't be my first choice but I won't question her taste since she did marry me.

While I don't find it intensely revolting, I don't think it will age well. I'd file it in with many of the questionable color choices that BMW has made in the last several years...particularly some of those loud greens/oranges/blues. This isn't loud per se, but I think it functions similarly, in that it's current eye-catching appeal may have an inverse relationship with how desirable it is in 5-10 years.

Maybe I'll be wrong though!

I can never see a Taycan without feeling bad that someone vandalized it by kicking in the sheet metal on the front doors. I hope the owner is able to square things away with their insurance, and that the culprit is caught.
