I just got off the track for Porsche driving experience and one of the cars driven was the Taycan
the car doesn’t turn!
My opinion
Junk!
Good stylish family car I’m sure but on the track no way
There are going to be more and more hybrids and full EV cars with the direction the world is going now. So get used to seeing them and at some point depending on how old you are you may end up driving them.
Like gas powered cars there will be good one and crappy ones, good looking ones and ugly ones but they are coming. Even pink ones.
The car is amazing. Heads and shoulders better than the Teslas I've owned.
there's a lot more to car ownership than how it drives. such as a proper charging network. i don't think the non tesla experience is there yet; we are probably a couple years away.
personally, i have come to prefer tesla's single screen approach with everything you need in that one central place. the interior is a refreshingly clean place to be. the one time i got into a taycan, i couldn't get comfortable. i felt like i was perched up on a high bench even with the seat in the lowest position, presumably because the battery pack is under the entire floor of the vehicle. the packaging just doesn't work for me.

You're making a lot of assumptions as I never mentioned a comparison in driving characteristics. My Tesla was in the shop 12 times, left us stranded twice, and let's not talk about the fit and finish. It was a POS. My second Tesla had similar issues, but at least that car didn't leave my family stranded.

yes, i did assume you were talking about the driving experience. on the non driving front, i have a lot of anecdotal data - we have a model y which has been great, and there are probably 12 other teslas in our friend circle. of those, only the model x folks have had any negative experiences.
also, if you're talking about your positive experience so far, in what, a few months of ownership? i don't think there's enough data to declare head and shoulders better.

Why are you even debating me on this? I own a Taycan, you don't. Go back to the Tesla forum if you only want to hear positive experiences.
