Just sold my 2014 Model S after getting all the issues fixed. My experience was similar to yours (only stranded once). Service was great in the beginning but a nightmare at the end. Fit, finish and body integrity was horrendous. I could not take it any more. For example I went through 5 window regulators, 2 doors that would not open from the outside, 2 broken open sun roofs, door trim popping off, lizards and bugs in the tail lights. Using Super Chargers for the last 2 years for trips was to painful because of the crowds, car turned into a around town car only.

Good:

Battery only lost 12 miles on a full charge in 7 years and 75,000 miles (262 to 250).

Just to add a data point: My Tesla P3D- didn't have a single issue—SW or mechanical—in the year I put over 35k miles on it.

Just goes to show how inconsistent Tesla QA is. But they _can_ be decent cars.

Still got rid of it. Soulless machine, that thing.

My Tesla was fun just got tired of the issues. Being a somewhat early adopter was fun at cars and coffee in the beginning,
