2021 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition... WOW
So as usual playing around on the configurator and noticed that the 992 Targa was up and they had the 4S Heritage Design edition. All I have to say is wow. Simply Jaw dropping in my eyes. Best looking 992 I think I've ever scene especially the way I built, now I know what to shoot for now as this has gone straight to top of my list for P cars... Whats everyones thought on the Heritage Design? waist of $220,000? or piece of art. I stand with the latter. I think it's the perfect combo of sporty and classic design. This was the Porsche code https://www.porsche.com/microsite/po...px?c=/PMD973Y1

The color and interior are stunning, but not a fan of the large logo on the side. At $220k, which is more than I’m willing to spend on a car, I’d rather have the TTS.

I guess its good they can be deleted for free! but yes the price is pretty insane... If they offered a power bump to like 500 I think it would sell much better

The Targa looks great in all configurations. I would not (and I can't afford to) spend $100k for this sticker package.

Its okay I can't either haha, but it's nice to look at haha. I guess if I had multi car collection with millions to spend, I'd get one for that reason. But that's not gonna be my position any time soon (but hopefully one day)

I think someone would scribble emoji faces on top of that giant white dot on the side of the car.

I don’t get it.
Listen, I can totally get behind the idea of loving the color and the interior, even if they wouldn’t be my first choices. Aesthetics are subjective.
But... That’s $220k? That’s a special edition? Different colors and some stickers? Even the 991.2 T got special wheels and some performance extras, and that was a car that celebrated it’s bare-bones budget pedigree.
The price just makes no sense. If Porsche were serious about producing a super-rare Targa, then they shouldn’t have hung it’s future rareness on nothing but an obscene price tag. Years from now, if this is a rare car, it won’t be due to it being some incredibly sought-after limited edition that handily sold out... rather it will be due to so few people ordering them. I’ll bet Porsche will only sell what ships (unrequested) to the dealers. And those will sit on the lots until they are sold at discounts that make sense. Because pretty colors aside, spending $220k on a basically stock Targa 4S is completely bananas as far as financial decisions go.
If Porsche had wanted to do this right, they should have produced a super limited run of the TTS in Targa form. Special colors. $250K a pop, base. That would be a fair bump for a very exclusive car, and everybody would have dislocated their arms trying to get Porsche to take their money...

I don't want that car, but I want that exterior color - badly. Will consider it as a PTS if I can get it.

Very nice car very nice color would not want the bulls eye on the door. Takes away from the classy look of the car.

Porsche isn't run by dummies - they know how to get the most money for their cars. There will be guys out there who will think that if they buy one they will be able to flip it for a profit but that doesn't always work however, Porsche will still get a lot of extra dollars for a car which means more profit. Heck, there is a guy advertising a new Corvette on Rennlist which he is trying to make a 50% profit on and that is a car that you could go into a dealer and order at MSRP - you may have to wait a while but only a fool would pay 50% more just to get it today.

I love the idea of this car but the execution isn't nearly as pleasing to me as the 991.2 targa special edition.
