A HUD takes quite a bit of package space and the package space is impacted by the windshield angle. I suspect those two aspects are why we don’t see a HUD offered in the 911. It’s all in the details. Personally, I do not care for a HUD in a sports car, as I feel that it is more of a distraction. I often did not use it on my BMW.

6 cabs and my experience is the opposite. In fact, when driving driving on cobblestones, I am always amazed that I do not hear any rattles. My new 922 will be at Targa Gonna test it in May on the cobblestones . Fingers crossed.

So, to be clear, you don’;t currently own a 992? Might read some of the threads on here about the topic. Lot of folks have had rattles, not just me. But with that said, people hear different things in their cars. Some people hear rattles, while others don’t…even if they are present. My wife falls into the latter group.
I would also add that if I have the window or sunroof open, and stereo going, my rattle (before corrected) was barely noticeable. The amount/volume of other noise in the cabin will impact whether one hears the rattle, or not.

I have them on my 2008 V8 Touareg... as to HUD, some love the shaver so there's something to love or hate for everyone... but a moot point as was mentioned as it isn't offered.

Well, I think a lot of folks find HUD to be one of the better options found on MB, BMW, Audi, etc…Being able to keep one’s focus straight ahead on the road/ HUD, and not on the PCM, is a good thing.
But all this is mute, since it’s not an option on the 911, nor does it appear to be coming anytime soon (ie, 992.2).

Yeah, I love the HUD in my E63S. It's not distracting, and you can vary the information, illumination, and small adjustment to the location. I would have thought it would be available in the 992!
The lack of a skip backward button on the steering wheel is baffling as well. What is odd is that the manual specifically states that the skip forward button on the steering wheel can be used to access both the next and previous track/station, but I can only use the button to go forward????

LOL! That's just it though. We should not have to waste this button for a previous track/station use. There is a need for 1 or 2 more diamond buttons as well. I use mine to access the surround camera when parking so as not to curb the rims. Without it, you have to fumble through two or 3 screens to get to it unless you put the car in reverse!!
