I love the exhaust note. I love the turbo noises. And I like the added power my butt dyno feels. But I suspect I will be selling mine and going back to PSE and soul sooner than later. The cold start is just too much for me with the soul cats installed.

It’s a bummer cold start is so loud. That’s literally my only issue with it. If I didn't daily drive my 911, I would keep it on.

If anyone is interested in my basically new Akrapovic exhaust, PM me.

I'm in the same boat here. Pondering switching things back at the time I take the car to replace the O2 sensor. Actually considering return the whole car to stock. Brakes, tires, cats, PSE. Not tracking it as it should be, no point in having those upgrades.

I would consider buying from you, John, since you are local, but now this thunderous cold start gives me pause

Maybe my Soul cat and PSE set up is all that I need

It's a bit of a window shake. I tried coordinating start-open the gate-back out in that order. This way limits the neighborhood noise and trembling of the house. Just need to have homelink booted before beginning.

Do you need to wear ear plugs if you start it with the garage door closed?

No, it's loud but what impressed me most is the vibration. Maybe there's a way to cushion the brackets, but I'm not sure if there's such heat resistant material

No, you will need an oxygen tank though.

^ LOL, I doubt you’d get carbon monoxide poisoning from just a 45 second cold start in the garage. But that would be a neat way to die, would make an interesting local news headline:

Man dies of carbon monoxide poisoning from starting his Porsche in the garage out of respect for his neighbors

wow thats a shame! AKRA is the gold standard when it comes to exhaust set ups. Mine is going under the knife on friday for Akra. i was thinking of doing sport cats if its too quiet but this is an eye opener....car isn't dailydriver. but they may frown upon this at the countryclub lolll

Akra also has an exhaust with its own 200 cell cats, as well as catless, I believe. So they must have other customers who've experienced the same.

One thing for sure, I never want to give up high flow cats. Unintended or not, I'm pretty hooked to the turbo whistle sound.
