I just got to hear John Mclane’s exhaust with sport cats and akrapovic.
First of all, that cold start is demonically loud. I have no idea what’s up with that, it’s like a trip back to a 1970 motor sport rally or something. You either love it or hate it, but I LOVE it.
Otherwise with valve open and revving it sounds way better than PSE. I will likely get it, but not immediately.

Hmm...makes me glad I kept my PSE cats and added Akrapovik only as the car sounds improved in the right way and cold start doesn't wake up have the planet/neighborhood...nor most importantly my wife who works the late shift daily and often gets up 3-4 hrs after I do and leave for work. She would NOT tolerate the SOUL cats sounds I am sure! LOL

Bigworm complaining how loud this combo is just makes me want to pull the trigger on the Akra exhaust. I’m so sad that I didn’t catch Bigworm’s sale post…fxxk

Yeah, I definitely was astounded by how loud that cold start is.
But I was also disappointed..........that it ended.
If the engine ALWAYS sounded that way it would be the most rad thing ever. However, admittedly it would be very hard to not annoy your neighbors, unless you lived far out in the countryside

I'm actually hitting a bit of a rough patch right now in my side business, so I can't spare the luxury of spending thousands on an exhaust, but hopefully later in the year or next year

I did a rating scale. 0-10
STock porsche sport exhaust aka PSE = 5 cold start.
stock PSE with sport cats = 6.5.
akra with stock cats = 7
akra with sport cats 12+++++++

Did anyone confirm that we can still use the OEM oval exhaust tips with Akra?

That’s my understanding as well. I think you actually have to remove the bumper to install the fake exhaust tips, so keeping the stock may make installation cheaper since you should be able to install the slip on exhaust with the bumper in place.
