I have a Gentian Blue 992 coupe with PCCB and yellow calipers, which contrast nicely to the car's body color. I get a lot of compliments on the color. The dealer salespeople say they like the way the car looks, but I have to remind myself that they are dealership employees.
As far as dirt goes- not one-third as bad as black, but Porsche people notice dirt others don't see.
As a comment, I recommend the PCCB brakes. Stopping power is out of the world, and according to the senior tech at the dealership, the brakes should last 100,000 miles if I don't track the car. You will like how the calipers look against the body paint. Cleaning break dust becomes a distant memory.
Nice build. What is the Porsche configurator code that brings the passenger seat with a cute female in it already?
Hows the chalk interior treating you? Hard to keep clean? Alot of maintenance ? Im picking mine up tomorrow (992 Gentian Blue w/Chalk interior)
I've had a Gentian Blue with Chalk and Slate interior for four months, and after 3500 miles, I cannot see any discoloration of the seats at all. I'm not sure about abrading it constantly with denim and some have reported, but so far I am very pleased with how they are holding up.
I have the slate interior and was paranoid about denim discoloration so when i first got my car, i applied a gyeon ceramic leather treatment and so far 18 months in my seats look like new still
Loving the slate/chalk pics as it's the interior choice I have on order. Does anyone know why some interiors have a black seat back and some a chalk seat back? I'd prefer chalk to match the seat leather but I've no idea what to expect and if there's any choice I can make to affect the black/chalk finish. If anyone has any insights please share. Thanks!
Interesting question...I've never noticed any difference. Maybe it is a cabriolet vs. coupe thing? Dunno.
Can't wait to see the slate/chalk interior in person. I'm pleased to see it's a more popular choice than it originally appeared. With regard to the seat backs having seen numerous pics it doesn't seem to be a coupe/cabriolet difference. I'm wondering if it's a model year difference but it seems even MY21 year cars may have black or chalk back so ?? The configurator shows a chalk back when I look at my build so 🤞 that's what I get as it's my preference.

The Sport+ seats have the dark silver plastic seat backs standard (you can option for the leather backs) and the Sport seats have the embossed leather seat backs standard (smooth-finish leather if you option the leather interior). Go figure, especially with the higher option cost for the Sport+ seats.
I also have a 2020 Gentian Blue C2S with the slate/chalk leather interior and it's an amazing combination with a beautiful contrast! No unusual maintenance issues with the chalk after 5,000 miles.

Thanks so much for explaining the difference! I have the 14 way sports seats in my build so I'll end up with the chalk leather seat backs as is my preference. Great news, and I'm pleased you're loving the slate/chalk interior. Can't wait to get mine!

I agree. I saw the slate/chalk interior on a Taycan in the showroom and it looked amazingly stunning and really caught my eye. I (we) were in the black/tan camp up until then and waffling with the full black.
Maybe it is a MY difference with the backing 'plate' being different colors. I am indifferent to the color, however I agree the chalk back looks like it flows better.
I have GB with the Graphite and I have yet to tire of it. I was so worried I would hate it after a few weeks. All my other cars are Black or White. So I went for something else and I am so happy. Dirt is not as bad as the black for sure. But it is bright in the sun so I see every speck. I might be a bit fussy?
Also the lighter seats are a joy in the sun compared to dark. Get the vented seats as well. If you get dark for sure. You'll love it no matter which you pick. All are beauties actually. Enjoy.

What's the chance @Wittlebit of you posting up a pic of the car with the door open to see the exterior GB over the Graphite Blue? Please and thank you.
