It's hilarious that the discussion is that if nearly $15k in options is "too minimal." Porsche sure knows how to get money out of us.
Bose seems like it's worth considering. I haven't heard the stock 992, but assuming it's similar to earlier generations, it's worth the upgrade. Especially if you do get the noise insulated glass, you'll want something better than the stock stereo.
I prefer white to chalk. I feel like chalk looks like primer - no offense to those who like it!
Dang, Chalk really does look like a primer with gloss finish... that saves me 3k.
I've updated my spec with a friend that used to work in Porsche marketing to make it the "ultimate" (it's base, after all) "992" (not 911.)
But yeah, Porsche really has options that make me cringe. And I can cringe at myself sometimes.
I opted into the White (0Q,) the slats in exterior color (also 0Q,) stock glass with the rear wiper, and—I promise there is a reason to have this on the VIN—personalized door sills. http://www.porsche-code.com/PMUF7EB5
That looks fantastic. A very nice build. Love the little touches on the rear grille and the leather.
The only thing I’d change would be the Sport exhaust to Silver. It would tie nicely into the Porsche and 911 script. And your exhaust won’t disappear into the black cladding of the rear. Aesthetic, subjective opinion obviously
What do people think of the PDK gear selector in Aluminum?
I have it & love it - a very nice upgrade to the plastic stock unit (which several posts report is cracking) and something you notice every time you are in the car.
Lots of folks say that but you need to see it in person to appreciate and enjoy it. i love how it looks in different lights especially at night...the gray really comes out then and at twilight and under clouds. Here are some pics of mine...hope you enjoy the rest of your decision process and color choices. They're all good in some way!

I thought I was the only one that spent waaaay too much time on the Configurator? LOL!!
i’m so relieved I’m past my freeze date.
I spent the last 15-20 years or so on the configurator since I was a young speccing different 911s as they were released. The dream never died and speccing a car to finally buy was something special to me.
I couldnt view your latest build but another issue with the 4 way seats. They are manual fore and aft adjustment so you have to pull up a lever in the front to move they back and forth. Kind of a PITA if you ask me.
I think a 911 already comes pretty well equipped and there is no such thing as a base 911. However, depending on your preferences I felt adding a few things, mainly creature comforts (14 ways, heated steering wheel and ventilated seats), plus Bose are very nice and somewhat affordable ala cart. If you drive a lot like me comfort is important. I do like a little more exhaust so left sport exhaust in and lane change assist is a must. I also prefer the slightly smaller GT steering wheel so made sure I selected that one with heat. You can always change the wheels later if you want and these options also help with resale if you decide to upgrade or sell later. I removed power folding mirrors. I also went back to the leatherette seats since they will hold up longer. You can fold them manually if need be and removed the Porsche crests. I ordered them for my Targa but do you really need them if trying to keep the cost down? Ends up being $112k, $9600 in options.

I’ve had these seats. I prefer 18 way now but 14 way are pretty good. I wouldn’t get another Porsche with 14 or 18 way unless I was getting the carbon fiber seats. If you sit in the car for long periods, the extra adjustability is really key.

I love my Chalk Cayenne Turbo Coupe and yes the paint has “mood swings”. It changes depending on what’s going on outside. You can see blues and greens along with the grey. Cameras can’t capture those details very well. It also hides dirt really well.
I wouldn't recommend anyone picking Chalk without seeing it in person. Very much a love it or hate it kind of color. At some angles, Chalk can have a primer look, but the look of the color in shadows vs direct light is very, very different.
As noted, no more noise insulated glass.
but
you can get the roof rack mounts without sunroof now (I think you have to select the prep option)
and
you should play around with the adding the premium package as that might save you some money. For me, it got me LCA and ventilated seats for $160. Didn’t really want ventilated seats but oh well. (Not sure what happens if you spec the sports tec seats with premium package however).

I really like ventilated seats and use them year round since they help the seats breathe and the amount of air is adjustable.

Some say they are not as comfortable as the non-ventilated. In fact, in the 15 minutes sitting in the showroom -I was like "my skinny butt hurts" - so I did everything to avoid them. But at the end of the day it would have meant spending an extra $1K just to NOT have them. That seemed silly.
The worst part is that silly netting that comes with the Premium Package - I really wanted to avoid that as well. Failed twice. But I saved big money
