Centerlocks are as gimmicky as the red nylon door pull straps to “save weight”. Porsche says “because race car”. I bet they secretly laugh at us jackasses for buying into it.

If they are laughing at "us jackasses", the joke's on them. They are the ones forcing them on us.

I'm thinking if I get to order one I won't see it until the end of the year or maybe first quarter next year the way things are going.
That's what I am hearing to...especially for a US car. Porsche dealers can't even get their hands on regular S models to sell...so thinking a GTS will show up magically in 4-6 mos is a pipe dream.

Maybe in Europe they'll see it not in the US. Early 2022 maybe is a more realistic scenario according to my SA. Not that I am looking to buy one but he often shows me around their ordering system when I stop by and we start talking allocations. They are STILL trying to get cars and all are sold BEFORE they reach the dealership. NO new unsold 992's expected to hit the showrooms till late summer. None are GTS's either.

This must be in Europe or that other alternate reality land of P-world. Neither my current SA nor any of my prior 2 SA's I still talk to have ANY SA on when the US GTS will arrive and 2 of 3 of them are large dealerships/top sellers in their respective states. Just saying...

Not really unless you MUST have a GTS I guess. Great package previously but not too sure much will differentiate it enough from the S car other than interior, wheels, maybe front end fascia and hopefully they bump up the power maybe but the problem is shyt man the S car IS already fast enough for 100% public road driving so do you really need the S? Previously yes for either wheels, or power, or better yet wide body and best of both worlds options between the S and GTS but now? Not so sure. Oh and also heritage!

Ah I am very sorry but it looks like an 992 with centerlock wheels..and a sports design kit. The later two can be ordered on a base or an S car. The rear light clear...an option also. Nothing other than the wheels we can see makes it any different that any other 992 out there. Hopefully they'd work the engine a bit to add power and of course there is that alcantara GTS interior folks either love or hate. But otherwise I see nothing really special over an ordered car to be honest as some have noted. Nothing that screams GTS!!

They get first dibs on ALL the hot cars because of their sales volume / inventory.
He is not expecting any GTS's on the lot until Summer 2022 at the earliest.
That tracks with what 3 of my Porsche SAs (former and current) have said. GTS's unlikely until late 2021 and that is if you're a betting man/women. Definately will be a MY2022 car and none have firm ideas of what their 2022 992 allocations will fall out as due to a lot of uncertainty in the system, production, supply, inventory, COVID19 you name it. They will see cars but can't tell you 100% when...most will take orders/deposits but with a grain of salt as to when you ACTUALLy will see a car with your NAME on the VIN and at the dealer's lot! Just food for thought...who is hearing different?

Tracking same....but folks wanna believe what they want to believe. Christmas and Santa Claus...Tooth Fairy...The Little Mermaid are my favorites! . Good luck guys with those orders and cash you're placing in dealers hands now for that 992 GTS car this summer! I really do wish you luck....

Centerlocks..never had them. Never had a GTS but a few friends who I know had them and 50% of them changed out to 5 lugs later. Said they were just a PITA! Even the dealers would jack up tightening them sometimes and many of the techs hated doing off car tire work with GTS cars for that reason...just getting the dayum things off man.

Tomorrow MUST be in Europe and so its now the day AFTER tomorrow and no 992 GTS news or press release? Let us know man...the world is waiting!

Does anyone think the GTS will be wider than the standard 992s?

No. The pics make clear what you'll get. It's an S with a nice combination of options at a slight discount, with more power.

I'm not sure why the trolls come in from every direction to **** on the incoming GTS every single cycle, trying to make themselves feel better by pointing out how it's just like their S, etc.

Nothing new. Yawn.

I took a Targa 4S build a couple of weeks ago. September build with November delivery. I’m still first on my dealer’s Targa GTS list and the GM said I could swap into the Targa GTS if they announce it before my car gets here. In this case the fact that the market is so strong for 992s and supply is limited gives me that option. I’m sure he could sell my Targa 4S in a day or two.

I would take any 992 C2 or C2S allocation offered or avail at this point…given the current market and supply situation especially if you want a car within the next 12 mos to drive. You haven’t heard anything yet on the GTS yet cause it likely won’t be released until the fall for 2022 deliveries. The GT3s already released won’t make it to the US till late summer and early fall and supply issues are plaguing more and more cars…even non 992 allocations are getting pushed now in many cases.

Yep..probably could sell in a few days to a week or two for a Targa 4S esp if reasonably priced. Never seen one of those with a selling problem. Can likely sell back to said dealer who already has inventory issues for GTS allocation whenever they appear….don’t hold your breath on the later tho showing up anytime soon!

Has anyone else received an updates on GTS release info? My SA contacted me yesterday for the first time in a while to say the US online configurator will be updated on June 23rd and early orders are looking at Sep/Oct builds with Nov/Dec deliveries. That's pretty specific information so curious if anyone else has heard similar or if they're just trying a new tactic to bait me into an early deposit.
