Default 992 Console and dash trim exchange

Okay didn't order my car with Matte CF trim but do have OEM gloss CF mirrors and am contemplating ordering interior pieces for dash and center console from dbCarbon in either gloss or matte CF but biggest question to me prior to doing this is how do I get the console pieces off and are they easily swap-able as with previous trim pieces. With my 991.1 it was an easy removal with trim tool to swap out aftermarket CF pieces in for aluminum OEM ones and return my cores for credit. Would think he same here but so far no one has done it and have seen nothing showing the removal or installation of driver and passenger console trim pieces. I have the OEM regular trim which looks okay and is also on the door too right before the handle but would like to upgrade it a bit. '
'
Seems like nice low cost and easy upgrade/modification to do and the black piano trim is okay but a finger magnet and wonder long term scratch potential. Anyone with any insight or intel on this...much appreciated.

The piano black trim just snaps in and out. Use a trim tool. Be gentle but firm.

Just replaced the driver side piano black trim. Using trim tool, pry up from center bottom of the piece.

The matte carbon pieces from db Carbon for the console do not replace the piano black pieces - they cover them and held in place with adhesive. It's described on their site as a "cover solution." So you won't be removing the piano black trim.

If you need instructions on removing the trim pieces below the PCM, check out You Tube - 2020 Porsche 911 992 how to remove the air vent-interior trim -SuperKilometerFilter. It goes further than you need but I was able to replace the OEM with OEM Matte carbon finish. Hopes this helps.

I sold my removable interior trim on ebay without issue a few times in my 991.2's. People eat that stuff up.

Suncoast sells the leather trim that goes around the cup holder but I haven’t seen the two dash pieces in leather or the corresponding door pieces. I opted not to order it in leather because it changes a lot of the other trim to light silver and I preferred the darker accent trim.

Same, I prefer the darker accent/silver compared to the ‘diamar light silver’ which you get for the leather trims.

If I could get the original trim colour with leather inserts then I’d upgrade straightaway! Strange why they don’t offer that option...

The lighter trim doesn’t really match with anything and my OCD was flaring up because of this... 😅

Thanks..yes found it and was able to see how to remove dash trim pieces but not sure how/where to get CF one to replace it. Have seen the matte CF ones which I unfortunately did not order but not sure how to remove the OEM silver/diamond trim once dash pieces are removed from the overall trim piece. So far don't think anyone has done that upgrade yet. If so am listening/looking!

I was able to purchase the OEM pieces on eBay. If you are purchasing the pieces from DB Carbon, I would like to know if they are carbon fiber covers vs entire new pieces. I think that's what you were referring to.

Here’s a video showing how to remove the trim pieces for a completely different and probably illegal purpose 🤣

So I'm in the process of swapping out my base dark silver trim for Paldao wood with the the brighter metal. Overall I keep thinking this was designed to be taken apart unlike my old 82 Camaro that was a nightmare.
