Disabling the rear spoiler
#61
Checked with every dealer in the Washington DC area. One dealer said they could do it but after trying for a day they said the module was locked and the only way in was to contact Porsche and they were told that they are not allowed to disable it and the only way they can change the setting is to have it always up (which is the opposite of what I want). They said this is a new policy from Porsche and is probably why people with 2022 and older models haven't had any issues. If anyone knows of another option within a reasonable drive from the DC area I would love to hear it. Otherwise I'm going to have to take the spoiler off.

Having once driven a 997 Carrera S, at speed, with the spoiler not operating properly, there's no way that would drive a 911 again without the active spoiler or a fixed rear wing. Quite simply, without the aero, it was not fun and it didn't feel safe. The aero is an important part of the package.
If you're disabling the active aero, you need a wing, ducktail, gurney flap... something.

I called GTPerformance but they only said they can try but they don’t have the latest software. I tried another shop here with PIWIS but they couldn’t do it either. Has anyone actually done this with a late 23 model?

Yes I do,
Message reaching 60 mph
Message after loosing acceleration after 60 mph
For some reason when I access the Rear Spoiler coding it turns in to German Lenguage
Piwis Tester III
Fixed Wing on 992

I have tried changing the Speed Thresholds to the maximum which is 650 km/h and still the only improvement I was able to accomplish was the message popping at 90 mph instead of 60 mph

On the F7 menu, select "maintenance of vehicle data" - then to to CW and select "VM4 Aerokit" and save that configuration. Then autocode Kombi, BCM1, BCM2 and the spoiler module. You should then be good to go - you might have to go back to Komi (instrument panel) and under warnings disable any spoiler warnings. ..
