One mouse click away from buying sports cats but I'm getting cold feet
Hi guys, not to beat a dead horse but this is my 1st Porsche 911, I'm not much of a car guy, and this would be my first after market install--ever. I'm a virgin.
I'm about to order Soul Sports cats and there is an 8-9 week lead time.
I've found a local company that looks solid that should be able to do the install, and I really want to enhance the sound.
My biggest fear is: what if the parts are loose, or installed incorrecty? What if I'm now dealing with new knocking noises due to improper install? What if this becomes a nightmare?
Can some of you ease my mind so that I can pull the trigger here? We're talking about cats, this should be hard to screw up, correct? Thanks, buddies!

Tupper. Its an easy install. You can do it yourself. Dont stress and click yes.
Midas exhaust people could install these. Its pretty hard to mess this up.
The only part some people have confusion with is the screw on the cats v band. See this link. You can loosen it from the bottom, which some mechanics might worry about doing. They seem to go for the top of the bolt. But you need to get inventive on ratchet adapters to get in there. Others just go for the bottom to loosen them.

Agreed - Very easy install and worth it IMHO. Also - While SOUL had a an 8 week lead time - I bought mine from a vendor on RL who had them in stock. - World Motorsports, and got them in 3 days. Pricing seems to be the same no matter where you buy them. Have you checked around?

I plan to take a cell phone video before/after install. However, I’m not very tech savvy, don’t have a YouTube page, and don’t know how to post videos on the internet. Does anyone here volunteer to post my videos on this forum once I’ve made them? If so, PM me.
Bear in mind I’m weeks away from doing this. Even if the cats arrive in a few days, I’m looking out the window at snow and 20 degree weather, so.....

I personally don’t think the high cost is worth it. Slightly adds bass and 10% more sound. You tube vids say it doesn’t do it justice. But when I listen the vids it’s the same as my car. Meh.

I need to give a shout out to both Craig at World Motor Sports (LA), and to John Gaydos (Soul). I have them installed under our 2021 Turbo S, and both Craig, and especially John Gaydos have been exceptional in both communications, and customer service. I can full heartedly support both organizations, their products, and above all, individuals such as Craig and John.
