992 C2S
If given the choice, don't go backwards.

I am currently considering the same thing as the original poster and found this comment sticking with me the most. I want the power of the TT but I think the stick is pushing me more towards a 992. Guess I need to get out there and just drive both to get a feel for things. A car that is more alive and has a more driver connected feel is typically going to get my vote!

I think it also depends on how you are going to use it. I looked at both before getting my 992 C4S (manual). I wanted a Daily Driver, and looked at both - the tech in the 992 won me over, as it is light years ahead of the 991.2. I also decided I didn't need the extra power as a daily. I can use my other fun cars for the weekend/track/power stuff.
If this was my only fun car, and or wanted more power, did not care about the comfort/daily driving stuff the 992 has that that previous generations did not - I would likely opt for a 991.1 or 991.2 Turbo/S.

I had the same quandary: had a 991.1 TTS and ended up going for the 992 C4S after a test drive.
As others have written, the delivery of power (neck snapping) certainly favors the TTS, however for my purposes mostly as a daily driver and occasional track event, the tech/interior on the 992 was far superior than the 991. To me, it's quite dated and woulda been an annoying ear worm that woulda reduced the overall experience I was buying. 6 months into the decision, I don't have any regrets.

Good luck!
