I've ordered a Gentian Blue 992 that will soon lock. I'm wondering about specking the aluminum window trim, thinking that this accent will highlight the beautiful roof line. I've toggled the option on and off in the configurator, but it is very hard to get a good sense of it there. Do you think that this aluminum adds or detracts on a deep blue car? Does anyone have this option on their car, and what do they think about it?
Another opportunity to post this snapshot of my car - last time, I promise
Really depends what kind of look you're going for, and Porsche charges less for this bright finish versus making the standard matte black trim glossy. Go figure!
Adds a nice emphasis on the classic 911 shape and was originally only available on the 996/997 Targa models which had lost their targa bars during that era.
If I had darker finish wheels I probably would have preferred the gloss black option.
Personally, I would definitely choose the aluminum trim (I chose it for my TTS - both for Gentian (initially) and for GT Silver (which was my final color choice)).

If you're opting for the silver wheels, the aluminum trim sets them off nicely. Should look good on the blue with an even more vivid contrast.

Please don’t stop posting this photo. IT’s just perfect!
I got a black window trim on my Gentian Blue C2S, but I’m seriously considering wrapping it with chrome/silver wrap. I love the silver trim.
oh I’m also considering painting my spider wheels silver like yours. Is it Powder coating or plastic dip?
