Default Aluminum window trim

I've ordered a Gentian Blue 992 that will soon lock. I'm wondering about specking the aluminum window trim, thinking that this accent will highlight the beautiful roof line. I've toggled the option on and off in the configurator, but it is very hard to get a good sense of it there. Do you think that this aluminum adds or detracts on a deep blue car? Does anyone have this option on their car, and what do they think about it?

I went through the same thoughts ordering a black 992- I thought matching the wheel trim worked - silver to silver or black to black

Another opportunity to post this snapshot of my car - last time, I promise
Really depends what kind of look you're going for, and Porsche charges less for this bright finish versus making the standard matte black trim glossy. Go figure!
Adds a nice emphasis on the classic 911 shape and was originally only available on the 996/997 Targa models which had lost their targa bars during that era.
If I had darker finish wheels I probably would have preferred the gloss black option.

I think the gloss black trim goes nicely with tinted windows I'm sure silver would look nice as well!

Those photos were really helpful-- and the trim looks great on the car. Thanks!

Personally, I would definitely choose the aluminum trim (I chose it for my TTS - both for Gentian (initially) and for GT Silver (which was my final color choice)).

If you're opting for the silver wheels, the aluminum trim sets them off nicely. Should look good on the blue with an even more vivid contrast.

ordered aventurine green with the aluminum trim compliments the Carrera exclusive design wheels.

Not the best photo but you get the idea.

The black trim looks much better, good choice. Especially with the tints.

I'm getting the same wheels, BOSSOB, and I agree that it looks great with the window trim. Thanks.

Happy to oblige OwingsMills. To my eye the aluminum balances out the “brightness” of the rims.

Please don’t stop posting this photo. IT’s just perfect!

I got a black window trim on my Gentian Blue C2S, but I’m seriously considering wrapping it with chrome/silver wrap. I love the silver trim.

oh I’m also considering painting my spider wheels silver like yours. Is it Powder coating or plastic dip?
