992 Carrera T Club
Ihave had five Porsche models and a C8 corvette and a S560 Mercedes improved by adding PPF and my installer hides all the edges and has never taken my cars apart and I have another shop do window tint and again -- I do not let them remove window moldings etc. There is no reason to rip these expensive cars apart to install any of these films. the only part removed with the PPF is the front hood emblem. Why are the front wheels removed to install PPF?

Come on folks. Post more pics. Don’t need to upload a bunch. Just a couple of them with clean backdrops. I post Montage vids every Thursday morning U.S. time (new routine). Next one coming soon…
Dang, so much variety and entertainment in this thread. Must be the best one on RList. People probably just wishing they also owned a T to participate.

Audio Upgrade - Update!!
Focal P-60 Speaker Set for 911 (992) Ltd Edition
Sadly I’ve taken the Focal kit back for a refund.
Following numerous calls to car audio companies re installation, I was getting the same response from all.
These speakers are absolutely superb, but with the base Porsche amplifier you’re wasting your time and money. It’s like trying to run a F1 car with a Mini’s engine.
So finally I swapped numerous messages with Focal UK and he said that just assumed buyers would upgrade the amp at the same time and he recommended a couple of Focal amps starting at £800.
All this plus installation and suddenly I’m looking at £5.5k ($6.5k) in total! I love my music but can’t justify that!!
So here’s the thing, if you’ve got that kind of money to spend on upgrading the sound, you MUST go for this set. Focal are known for their high end audio products, (they sell headphones for £30k) so the quality is there and they are amazing value for money. Individually you’d pay around £8k for the 7 speakers.
So back to the drawing board for me.
I’ll happily go to £1.5k maybe £2k ($2.5k) but that’s about my limit!

I've been on again off again on my T order, now may be on again with a 24 allocation. Question though - I'm not sure I want the non-folding carbon buckets for a street car. But I like the opportunity to get the buckets on a 24. If I were to get the buckets, anyone interested in swapping them for the base T seats plus some cash? Would the green T interior pack be a mistake if I didn't intend to keep the buckets? I'm thinking about white with green T interior. The alternate is yellow with the standard black interior. Thoughts?
Haha. Ok I will bring the original back in a while. You should never fix something that is not broken. My bad lol.

I'm still thinking Focals (once I eventually collect my car that has been sitting in Leipzig without a date either way), but likely a less premium version. I want an improvement, but don't need to turn my lightweight sports car into a full-on theater or listening room on wheels. Maybe something in the $1k range that would benefit from an amp, but rather just expecting to not get full potential from them--all the while feeling better than I would with a limited edition set for $4k without an amp upgrade. I except I'll get something far more efficient/sensitive than the paper stock 992 speakers. Maybe a tad more volume as a result, but definitely better reproduction.

I assume you have the 4.0 engine. Have you tried the OAP pipes combined with the Cargraphic? I LOVE LOVE LOVE that combo on my CGTS4.0. It's got volume and some burbles, etc. Sounds WAY better than my 911T with just Cargraphic.
Yes, I saw that Musicar video a long time ago. They make it look easy. The background music is hypnotizing. Love it
@Barkat03 good move returning it. U should listen to me, ha. 150 total watts even if continuous power is not enough if u want more volume and oomph. Again, I’ll be adding 400 watts continuous to just 1 additional speaker. My suggestion is look into getting Audison speakers (should be cheaper but much better than stock or Bose) and add a large amp to drive them. That is my option B if not content with just adding my 1 sub. Good luck.

I prefer engine sound over stereo so the quality to me is adequate. People gotta quit hating on the stereo, it's a base stereo with no separate amp. If there's anything that bothers me more it's the cheap quality feeling of the window and sunroof switches.
