The 964 was unloved in the early 2000s and priced as such. MANY of the ideal manual transmission coupes were used as track ****** and back date projects. As such, the supply for decent 964 manual coupes (anything from collector grade to driver) has been diminished somewhat. 993s enjoyed the "last air cooled" BS and never went QUITE as low as 964s. Both models, 964 & 993, are now rightfully sought after as terrific driver's cars that bridge the gap of old and new with touches such as power steering (except LHD 964RS, 964RS 3.8, RS America and race cars) and ABS mixed with the original size and basics. The 993 even added new rear suspension and a 6-speed.

Singer originally intended to use the G-body for its recreations and the first 2-3 cars were built as such. The switch to 964 was made to gain the breadth of ability the 964's "modern" updates had made possible.

@HerrDr Yessir you are on the money .. again!.
There is a difference between the US and UK gallons and you have described it perfectly.
BTW there’s also a massive difference in the price of a gallon between UK and US😄

Massive difference in fuel prices indeed! I always check now since when the 991.2 first was announced and I saw the fuel economy of the turbo 3.0 S engine, I was astounded. "Over 30mpg!? CRAZY!". Then I realized it was an article from an English journalist :-)

Thanks. That’s good feedback. Problem with a lot of stuff I see online is it’s difficult to truly sense reality. My car freak acquaintance said he saw the factory aero kit in person and thinks it looks really good in person. Ha, IF I ever get my T, we should all meet up as discussed and ask that Techart wing guy to join us. I’ll bring beers for everyone. Limit 1. Just to chill together. Absolutely NO DUI. I’d love to see that wing in person.

I assume you’re in Monmouth office? Maybe long day there….

All these T's looks great! Seems like the majority of you opted for the sport design bumper, much more so than base/s owners tend to.

Very good write up. Yes the G50 transmission in the 964 is bullet proof. I think Singer also used the 964 because it was the last model to exemplify the true 911 front end with the raised turrets. I picked up my 964 when they were the red headed step child. The only complaint I have is that it leaks like an old Harley. Why in the hell did Porsche build an engine without a head gasket? The fix is going to cost me 20k. For now I just park it on cardboard and drive it like it’s stolen.

Within the last few hours my build has updated 3 times. I’m at the port headed for Baltimore Maryland with final destination Columbus Ohio. Now I need to learn to track its vessel.

Gorgeous 964. My rule of thumb on just about any air-cooled 911: if it doesn't leak oil, even a tiny amount, then it either doesn't have any, has had a reseal, or is about to. A small drop of oil in the garage (cardboard as you said) is merely the car marking its territory.

Sound system upgrade!
I spend 20-30 mins every day researching aftermarket sound system upgrades.
So far there’s all coming out more expensive than the Burmester would have cost!
So many non GT 911’s have been delivered this year with the ****ty basic system there must be a big opportunity for aftermarket sound system companies!!?

Hopefully help is on the way for a simplified upgrade at a reasonable price.
