And this also proves the T is the slowest 911 available so Avid was right: it’s not about the speed

The standard headlamps are not on the middle car. Those are PDLS+. Or maybe I misunderstood you?
Thanks for that chart. Interesting. My guess is a major part of the difference between the T and S are the brakes. Unpsrung weight. On another note, I just did PEC ATL and spoke to a few drivers asking them their opinion between the T and GTS (for my own sake). They all suggested I go with the GTS. There's no right or wrong. I had the T in the past. I never felt it didn't have enough power (maybe on the track), but I wasn't sure the GTS would have too much power. It doesn't. Plus I get aero bumpers, forged wheels, race tex seat centers, etc. . Still love the T, since it will always have a special place for me being it was my first Porsche and 911, but moving on to a GTS.

I ordered side decal delete and Porsche delivered correctly

Yes, because the little old fella in the factory who’s sole job is to remove decals is back from holiday.
Apparently he went on one of those ridiculously expensive ocean cruises.
He also has a little private business at home selling Porsche decals - makes a fortune👍

Can you explain more as to the procedure, or do you just mean you are enjoying yourself? The brakes can be fully used after about 300 miles right? We don’t mind you sharing more pictures and videos.

I think his post is in jest. Ze German, procedure Jaa(?) was posted by Barkat on the previous page.

here it is the page from the owners manual:

Sadly, many people ignore it, as they will flip the car after a year or two, and they will not live with the consequences.

But he referred to something áfter the running in period is over. Running the engine in is more than clear. See also my post about the suggested rpm. About the brake pads however i thought it was less miles and in your picture it cannot be seen (below). Got the full picture of that as well?

<1100km max 5500rpm
<1300km max 6000rpm

So that’s around 900 miles before going full redline.

Quote

first 100 miles under 4k
100-200 under 4500
200-300 under 5k
300-400 under 5500
400-600 under 6k
700-800 under 6500
800-900 under 7k
900+ 7200

the break in period for all sports cars has been debated but there’s been no significant evidence or proof for either side of the argument. After all the car is under warranty and i intend to enjoy it and won’t skimp on maintenance.

i intended to be more gentle on the car for the first 1k miles but when i went back to the Porsche dealer that got me the T allocation to install a Sharkwerks exhaust on the 992T, the technicians were saying i drive like a sissy and need to get on it! (They had run an overrev DME report on the 2016 GT4 i traded in and they saw i never banged the car off of the redline so they said i need to stop driving like a wimp&#128514
So my plan changed and here’s what i did
first 100 miles under 4k
100-200 under 4500
200-300 under 5k
300-400 under 5500
400-600 under 6k
700-800 under 6500
800-900 under 7k
900+ 7200

Quick side question…
Why did my car arrive with 18 miles on the clock??
Same thing happened with my Taycan last year (14 miles)?!
A friend just collected his new Ford pickup with just 3 miles on the clock.
What does Porsche do during those 18 delivery miles, after all the car arrived on the back of a trailer.
Forgot to ask the dealer yesterday

Indeed. Getting near redline is where it’s fun. I’ve always had high revving sports cars on purpose. Your profile says you’re in NJ. Do you mind sharing which dealer you used and how much you spent for install of you Sharkwerks. I’m in Manhattan. Porsha Manhattan upcharges everything. Also wondering how different it is vs. PSE. Just the exhaust or replace cats too? Any pics of your car? Sorry if I missed your pic posts but I recently joined forum.

My guess is driving around the various storage yards and on/off the RoRo ships. Although 18 does seem like a lot for that.

A Ford F150 is made in Missouri I believe, so probably just gets loaded right onto a vehicle carrier.
