Man, you guys keep talking about 'unveiling'. I thought I'd have one of those when picking up my 991.2 in 2018 and they had it parked in the parking garage of the dealership. That's where I picked it up. Great unveiling. . One of the biggest disappointments with that particular dealership.
Anyway, I honestly would wear the most comfortable stuff you have. Sweatpants and Sneakers. It's about driving the car. You want to be comfortable. . Porsche sells a ton of clothing, too.

In UK you also get 3 years free Apple subscription and other stuff.
Additionally we only pay list price, none of $5-10k BS ‘admin’ fees some of you guys in the States pay.
Buy your next Porsche in the UK - specify LH drive😄

He doesn't know but is trying to get me more info...he had previously thought stitching but in the final production images the seats are installed so I don't see how that would be it. I also called Porsche North America and they have no idea, I'm hoping more clarity comes soon. I can't think of anything on my build, especially since the car is produced, that is causing this. One shot-in-the-dark question is I wonder if something happened after production but during testing that would have prevented it being released to Emden? That is pure conjecture but something that I thought about earlier today. I am still so ticked off at this delay, since in Colorado August is the back end of the reliable driving season on the fun mountain roads.

You mean your dealer didn’t even give you a bottle of champagne, a bunch of flowers, an iPhone cable, a book on the history of Porsche etc etc??

If I knew they folded down flat, I would have put them back in my build. Too late now.

At first, I thought you were being sarcastic and making fun of me. lol. Unfortunately, I had the total opposite experience. I literally had pulled up in the dealer's garage with my family and the SA was standing there and pointed at my new 911T, which was in another spot in the same garage. We went upstairs to the showroom/office, signed all paperwork and I went back downstairs with him and left with the car. I expected something much better. But then again, that's why they aren't my dealer any longer.

My car is a C2S and I just got very similar delays to yours except my car doesn't get to the San Diego port until 8/8. Mine was built on 2/2 (I have all four photos) and has seen nothing but delays since. I looked over your list of options and our cars do not have much in common except for the extended range tank, the taillights and stuff likely associated with the preferred or sports package. I suspect the delay is actually damage to the car. Mine made a side trip to Creutzwald, France for a reason no one can explain - did your car take a similar path?

I didn't get the car I wanted either but I'm not waiting around speculating about when stop sales might end. Stop sales keep happening and I've heard twice that PAG has told dealers not to expect things to improve until 2024 and possibly beyond. Waiting not only means delaying your purchase but also running the risk of further stop sales.

You might be better off with your solution. And custom Cocomats for the rear are likely a much cooler look! The shelf just kept my pizzas and boxes of donuts level and in place.

I highly encourage everyone to do ATL or LA PEC delivery if you're able. Now that is where they make it super special for you. In fact, for ATL PEC, they only do two deliveries per day. You get a special lanyard and everywhere you went, PCNA folks congratulated you and it truly made you feel special. Even during lunch, you get the best seat in the house reserved for you, etc. And the best part, you get to do a long nice drive back to your home with all break-in complete!
My future Porsche will always be done with PEC delivery

MY24 will probably see a roughtly $8k-10k price increase on MSRP to account for inflation and Porsche's wishes to be even more profitable.
