Yes, most cars are loaded with tech they think helps you these days. It drives me crazy. I want control. Not asking anyone else to feel the way I do, for what its worth.
Interestingly I think how I feel is fitting with the T ethos.
I like a lot about my wife’s wagoneer, but it drives me insane with its beeping about car positions in blind spots, etc. I, dear Jeep, am paying attention!

I've had 991.2 Targa in leather with ventilated seats and Targa GTS in alcantara, or whatever they call it now, and I prefer the alcantara, was cooler in summer and warmer in winter when first getting in the car. I felt the ventilated seats are more stiff and firm and less comfortable. Leather seems to absorb the environment negatively, and with ventilation or heat that takes time. Really you are sitting on dead skin.
Zero concern about sitting on dead skin, that dead skin has millions of years of evolution shaping it into an incredibly strong, flexible, and durable surface for us free of charge. Petroleum based products can be wonderful in tons of applications but can’t beat leather imo.
Btw I have zero neg feelings about others getting sport tex, get what you like!

What I’m kicking around now is FAL. Its quite expensive. If I understand correctly the cost in term of weight and handling is insignficant.
I can only think of a few places that are certainly a problem, but am weighing the value of worrying less.
The SPASM 911 is not only low, but quite extended in front esp with the SD fascia I have spec’d.

I had it on my Taycan and it was constantly in use. The standard 911 is lower than a Taycan and the T is 10mm lower still.
It’s also got a memory option - by using GPS it can store the speed bump (or steep driveway etc) location so the next time you drive that road the car will automatically lift at the speed bump (as long as you’re doing 19mph or less).
In my case it was a must have no brainer

I ordered FAL - sadly where I live in London they love a speed bump!!

My thinking would be to have at least a mix of MT/PDK, sunroof/slick top and backseat delete units. Eventually though, they'll sell all of them because there really is an *** for every seat...

I don’t like worrying about it. It’s my personality, just me. I like mechanical things where possible. Fewer things that can go wrong, peace of mind, etc.
