What a great description of your thought process and journey - thank you. What you said resonates with me a lot and in many ways I may be on the same journey as you... experiencing the PDK, loving it, etc. - but I imagine I too will crave the MT again some day. I'm on the waitlist for a 992 T and I think I'm leaning more and more towards MT for that car, but it is still a close call. Part of the draw for PDK for me was giving my wife the opportunity to drive this car (she does not like MT, gives her anxiety around town). But so far she hasn't even driven the PDK very much, so this may be a moot point!

I'd prefer manual adjustment, set and forget. I don't need the wheel up and out of the way to get in/out of the car. On a separate note, the press releases came out after the Angeles Hwy blasts saying the car had 379 hp, today on TYD, here's the following hp figures:

The T was then announced and as soon as I read the announcement I was calling the manager of my local dealership putting in an order for a 7MT Ruby T. I knew my previous 911 was slower, and giving up PDK meant giving up some performance, but a manual 992 experience was way more important to me.
Similar thought process as yours! I went from a 997.2 6MT into a Taycan 4S. It was like going from a Blackberry to an iPhone 14! But there was the lack of driver engagement in the Taycan despite it being a really perfect DD. For the same price as a GT3 with ADM, I could get into a 992 T 7MT for myself plus a Macan for my non-manual-driving wife, which seems to be a better compromise.

Only downside for me is that the Taycan now has to go due to limited garage space, but I hope to re-add a Porsche EV in the future when my kids go to college (but that's a discussion for a different thread.)

I'm strongly guessing those are the European figures and the horsepower there is metric rather than what we are used to in the states. 385 PS is exactly what Porsche.de shows.

As much as Porsche probably doesnt like to see a customer going from an EV Taycan back to a Manual Transmission 911 and ICE Powered Macan, I have to say I would do the EXACT same thing as you! good choices. I have an older Cayenne GTS and as much as I love the Taycan Cross Tourismo, I can't give up the sound, size and functionality of my Cayenne just yet.

What do you think of this build? Anything you would add to the white / green combo?

https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PPPSCMX4

For those of you that have had the surround view, does it give you a 360 birds eye view when you go into reverse or do you have to click it on PCM? I've found on other vehicles that when I have to click into the system to access surround view I use it much less, but if it gives you the view automatically when in reverse it is handy.

Surround view gives automatic 360 top down view... It is something that I would be sad to give up in my situation/places I drive and park... When you engage reverse you get the top down 360 view + rear view of bumper in split screen... and then when you put it in drive you get the top down 360 view + front camera split screen view to make sure you dont scrape the front lip on anything... Its a very nice system.

The configurator images are not working for me at the moment... But if they aren't added, I would throw the green seat belts in too!

Green belts are included on my build which specced the leather/green interior pinstripes and stitching.

That’s my favorite interior combination I really like the lizard stitching. Only thing I would maybe add is a splash of race-tex on the console. It looks awesome with the stitching also.
here’s also a pic of the rear belts in green. I’m not getting rear seats but the photo shows how nice the belts go with the interior. Is anyone getting the lizard kit with any other exterior color other than white or green?

Thanks, that sounds like how I would want the surround view to work. I will probably add that to the build, seems worth it. The green belts are included in the T lizard interior pack, so should be good to go. I added the lizard green tach and chrono dials for a little extra pop with the green.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I was wondering if the lone race-tex console might look a little out of place with the standard interior but it does look good in that pic. Will prob add that.

My current build on the configurator is Jet Black Metallic with the more pricey Carrera T interior package in Lizard Green with tach and chrono also in LG. Also went for race tex wheel, shifter, roof, and console lid with crest.

Now all you need are some lizard stripes! Or maybe a lizard side decal.

Perfect build - just the right amount of options for a T. 👍

I have a similar build to 6sigma but in Ice Grey with the lizard green T interior package. I also added the race-tex console with crest and steering wheel/****.
