Wow, P&W BMW, remember that dealer from back in the day when we lived in the Pgh area. A guy named Dieter Piech had the place for years. Up the street was Auto Palace(Elvidio Grande) which closed and now one of Western PA's Porsche dealers.

It's a confirm that on non leather interior cars the LWB insert is not a checkered sport Tex as listed. Perforated race Tex just like the leather interior cars, as previously mentioned. I'm loving a few options I wanted to post. The carbon roof, the titanium wheel bolts and forged wheels, and the carbon fiber floor mats.

Awesome name.

Thanks, yeah I got lucky it wasn't closer to the side wall. I discovered Porsche doesn't do repairs and wanted 600 to replace the tire (only 1300 miles on it) and needed a few days to get the tire. Costco did it for $16, and since I brought the loose wheel they had it done in less than an hour. Luckily dodged the P-car tax this time lol.

It's crazy how much junk is in the road, I try and pick up any nails/screws/sharp metal I see in the road when I'm out running or walking the dogs.

I get flats patched vs. plugged since they can leak later. Compared to Cali where I lived half my life, NJ / NY roads are a mess in every way. My Benz, I’ve replaced a tire 5X because sidewall develop bubble or tear from potholes. Glad I got tire insurance from my local shop (avoided dealer tax). Had 3 flat repairs so far….all different tires. Got 1 more to go 🤣

.
After the BS Paul Walker lawsuit, Porsche has to limit their liability as it relates to tires. Plugs are usually fine, but the tire is certainly compromised and shouldn't be used for any high-speed runs... So yea, I don't blame Porsche for not plugging flats.

ya once my salesman told me that i negotiated the tire/wheel package down to $1800 and purchased it.. sure enough at 600 miles i got a nail and got a new tire.

Costco does a patch and a plug, and I do understand where Porsche is coming from. I was never planning on tracking with these tires and I've had many a performance tire repaired by them so I'm not too concerned.

I tried to evaluate the wheel / tire insurance objectively based on my previous experiences. I've never had to have a wheel repaired / replaced and a nail is on average a once in a 3-5 year event for me.

Mine is patched and plugged also. I have no worries about using it

But curious how increasing that much HP impacts other aspects of the driving experience (e.g. handling, steering, etc).
From my perspective, the T is outstanding because of the lower engine performance. It is the perfect road car with a balance between acceleration and handling. Whilst I understand that some may buy it because it is a cheaper entry point to get a modifiable platform, for me I bought it purely because it is the most balanced car in the range for street enjoyment. I don't want a car that is quick point to point, I want a car that can be stretched on the road. It's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow type of thing.
