992 Carrera T Club
From the 992.2 Info thread. Another individual posted it.
Came here to ask a spec question to the group.
how do you guys feel about the interior painted parts? Going guards red exterior and really like the red bits inside to brighten it up a bit.
I have not been able to see it in person though. I know sometimes things work on the screen and in the configurator but don’t look the best in person.
So if you have the painted parts, do you like it? Is it something you would order again?

No clue on when things change to the 992.2 but had thought it was second half of 24. I’m the last guy that would know though.

for me and my first time tracking my 911 and second track weekend actually driving, thought I would be fine with stock pads.
if you are cooling the brakes after driving and wait between sessions, and driving a track with more miles and less hair pins and hard turns then stock should get you through a weekend.

Smooth is fast! Great lines. Don't worry about faster cars or drivers at all for now. Just focus on you and what you want to accomplish. There will always be someone driving a faster car slower or slower car faster. And what was going on at about 8 minutes in with that car. Eek, very confusing and the kind of stuff shouldn't be happening where you have something very unpredictable happening like that. Scary to be honest...did you nail ABS when that happened?
your kind words are much appreciated and I will take that to heart. I could have tried to drive 10/10ths but I was driving a fairly unknown track, unfamiliar car, and had not driven on a track hard since 2021, so 3 years or so. That is why the lead follow I did with my dad as so helpful, I could see his line in his 996 GT3 and then 991 GT3RS. I could then blend the lines he took to creat my own line that worked for my car and was not too much for it or too little. (I could only drive about 50% as fast as the RS) meaning as fast as I could go was only 50% for my dad. He was probably twiddling his thumbs and falling sleep leading me around while I was trying to stay on the track hahahaha

Specced a little heavier than most I think…. Gentian, MT, FAL and RAS, mucho leather, Bose, 18 ways, CF roof. I’ve read buy it like it’s your last and hope it’s not a few times, so…

On my YouTube tonight I will post the lead follow from the second day I did in the morning with my dad and his RS. Then I will also post him driving my car at about 80% if it’s max capabilities, which is pretty good. Then if any one wants it I will post his driving pov of his RS

I did it and love it! When sitting in the cabin, the dash trim almost lines right up with the mirrors… like it comes in, across and back out. On lighter colors I think it brings the inside and out together. My initial fear was that it’d be gawdy or over the top but in person it’s one of my favorite choices. I never cared for it in photos or in older 911’s but in 992 I dig it.
