With all due respect, not misleading at all. If you set the tires/wheels further out, you will have the tread throwing more debris onto the car body. Even stock, you will get some of that, hence the factory clear segments in front of the rear wheel wells, and every 911 has the underskirts behind the rear wheels dinged with road grit. These are not full fendered BMW's, and its simply physics, not speculation.

What do you mean by “full fendered”? My point was that peppering the fenders does not [always] happen. Some people get it in stock form or with spacers/aggressive offset wheels and some don’t. It depends on the roads, etc. The M4’s come with that clear film as well. Some have chipped it up and others like myself didn’t have that issue.

What size did you go with? Are you on SPASM?

AlterZgo, thanks for taking those pictures. Very helpful to see that it isn't very noticeable.

I think a large problem is the profile of the tire. It is slanted, making the tire appear inset to where the wheel is. I can't stand that. Wish there was a nice square sidewall on the tire.

Do you have to have a front end alignment after installing the spacers?

Not needed at all. I’ve been running 15mm F and 12mm R spacers for 2000+ miles without any handling issues or any noticeable abnormal tire wear and I didn’t touch the alignment. In fact I’ve never had any alignment issues on the many cars I’ve run spacers on.

Just for reference, I’m posting photos of the 10mm(f)/7mm(r) BONOSS spacers mounted on a ‘22 Carrera S with Carrera S wheels on SPASM suspension. I’m hoping the suspension will settle even more as I put more miles on the car. I think this is a good conservative compromise for somebody who doesn’t want to lower the car beyond the stock PASM/SPASM height (…although I may experiment with the lower perches on the stock suspension). 14-15mm(f)/10mm(r) would’ve been too much IMHO on a stock SPASM-equipped Carrera. I haven’t noticed any adverse affects after the modest track increase; I put approximately 200 miles on the car pre-spacers and another 100 miles post-spacers.

The Chalk with black wheels looks amazing,,,
I had spacers on my slightly dropped C4S 997 and loved the look. I just picked up my new toy and trying to decide. ITs still only a few days old for me and has an aggressive stance and look to. me. I notice these posts all look like "S" or higher models. I assume this works on a "base" model?

Thanks! I preferred the gloss black over the satin; fully painted mirrors over the black plastic base mirrors. @Skychoi42 has this same size spacer set-up on his base Carrera with PASM. I recommended it to him and it looks really good.

I would never put spacers on my car. They are for cosmetic purposes only and do not benefit the performance.
Since I put my car on track, spacers will never be used.

My base with 7mm spacers, and I don't track my car.
