Take this *** clown with a grain of salt. He ran the same know it all BS on me a couple weeks ago. Just say "UNCLE" and tell him he is absolutely right about everything other wise he will stalk you all over this forum until you do.
Could you imagine getting that upset over the color of turn signal lenses, good grief. I can't imagine anyone being that angry.
You do realize that you vehemently supported my side in this discussion right? You chewed out 992sam for being an obstinate engineer type that you can't stand. You remember this? It was it was just three days ago.
I done jacking this photo thread. You three deserve each other.
Configuring a Targa GTS in chalk/ black. I've owned six 911's and a few Cayennes and Macans and all have been black. I was totally psyched about chalk untilI saw a chalk 911 and Macan on an overcast day. MY OPINION... the color looks terrible on an overcast day. I've seen a few on a bright day and at night and it looks incredible. Thinking about changing the color. Any thoughts about my observations?

The reason you mention is exactly why I chose Chalk over Aventurine Green. The later looks very bland when not in sun. Chalk looks awesome any day imo.

Most colors look blah on an overcast day. It’s not exactly the best lighting/environmental condition to showcase a color.
Colors are subjective for sure. I do love my choice for sure. I especially like how it does change in different light. Lots of compliments on the color so far as well.

Have a Chalk 992S and so far no days are bad days with this car. Overcast days or bright days...but I would ask how many overcast days are where you live do you encounter and IF that is enough to make you choose another color so be it but for me..not that many as to pic another car. Any time I look at it..color is stunning but Aventurine Green is a stunner too and was my initial choice but felt it was too bland in most daylight and switched to chalk which I thought looked good and caught my eye everytime I saw it! .
I considered chalk and my only concern was that so many pics I've seen it basically looks white in some light. But what is hard to tell is whether that is the light, the color in the light, or the camera compensating exposure because it thinks it is white...
