Thanks for that. I was hoping to find one for the standard exhaust non-PSE sport design rear. Do you know if anybody makes it in 1x1 plain instead of the 2x2 twill pattern?
No problem...that's what the forum is for. Don't know about the 1x1 pattern but my advice would be to email DBCarbon and they'll probably respond to you and give you an idea of what they can do. Maybe they can offer something also that fits what you're looking for.

I'll try that. I'll shoot them an email tomorrow and hopefully they have something in the 1x1 plain pattern. In your experience, does Chalk show rock chips easily?

7 months of ownership..none. Chalk in my opinion hides alot more blemishes and dirt for example than the White and Carrera White Metallic cars. Sort of like how Agate Gray my prior car also hid a lot of dirt/blemishes. So far only problem I've had with Chalk is when it rains and I go thru lots of standing water...car then does need a quick wipe down then...but I did ceramic coating on the car myself a month after I got it so washing is no problem/easy and water beads off with the dirt.

I imagine you saved a ton of money doing the ceramic coating yourself.

Oh yes...local detail shop wanted starting upwards of $800 to $1200 to do the car...really unrealistic once you do your homework and realize actually the cost of materials and what is actually done to the cars. Majority of the cost is profit...yes labor is involved but if you don't mind doing it yourself and wash/wax your own vehicles then it is NOT a large leap to ceramic it also. Also note that for the cost of one set of ceramic coating I had enough to do TWO cars!! IMHO outside of PPF installation which is difficult and can be an art...this is one of the most common areas where detail shops just take money from unknowledgeable consumers given the pricing. I know shops that will charge you $400-600 and up for a wash/wax detail job and that is just honestly a few hours with a foam gun, a good wax, some armor all in/out, and a deep vacuum, and fragrance inside the vehicle....where those same products cost you maybe $50 and can be used at least 2-3 times over or a good vaccum unit maybe $100-200? Just you have to supply the labor which some owners either are too busy or too lazy to do! But agree for a PPF or a wrap or say a tint installation I will let the dealer/detailer handle that. Ceramic coating? Wash and Detail? Not so much.
So yeah this is the 2nd car of mine I;'ve done (my Audi was the 1st and was a learning experience. Came out fine other than 1 or 2 spots I had to do over). I also did my sons BMW 328ix also after doing my 992 so yeah its really easy to do if you have any familiarity with basic car washing/cleaning/detailing tools and techniques. Anything that you don't know you can easily learn by watching a few YouTube videos or asking as plenty of info on the forum. Basically its all about the prep and the space. Car was a month old so no real issues with paint and defects on the car. Didn't need any significant corrections to the paint. Wash and wash again and clay and wash then polish then prep to get the paint basic and impurities off the car then the ceramic part is pretty easy to to do. IF you take your time and do it systemically and work in small portions so you don't skip anything or over due any areas (easy to leave residue and end up with an area to have to do over or correct if you rush it or are lazy) then otherwise its pretty easy. Took me a weekend to fully do separating wash and polishing into one day, prep and initial ceramic coat into another and then final coat and cure into another day. Did it in my driveway and garage. Lighting is important but used a hi power LED shop light I got from Home Depot which helped also find areas that needed attention and ensure no residue was left over. Biggest cost was the Ceramic Coating itself; I used Gtechniq's products and they are pretty easy to use especially the latest stuff. Just follow directions, and have appropriate applicators and a good space to work and you're good to go. Even got C1 and did my wheels also...took them off the car and replaced...about 1.5 hrs worth of work to coat them but I have RS Sypder wheels so worth it. All products were readily available via Amazon.com and other retailers. Along with my Griot's Garage detailing chair I got for Xmas and a few cold beverages that was all that was required tho to make it a most excellent experience.
Figured I’d bump this thread with the addition of my new 992! I found this specific thread extremely useful as from the start I was set on a beautiful Chalk 992 C2S. Opted for Chalk on Chalk spec as I wanted to depart from the traditional black interior. Man is it sweet..the interior just pops and complements the car well!

Looks awesome!
can you share some interior pictures as well?
I’m actually think of ordering a 992 T4GTS in chalk grey exterior as well, but not sure of the interior, so any ideas will be appreciate it!

Had this 992S MT for almost a week now. I optioned it with the full painted side mirrors, painted front lip, and Black/Bordeaux interior. I think I've seen every Chalk 992 on this forum while simultaneously on the Configurator, endlessly adjusting the options list.
Def no regrets with the Classic Wheels as they look way better in person than on a screen.
