Default 992-Escort MAX360CI - radar-laser

Has anyone had the Escort MAX360CI - radar-laser installed? If so, what was the approximate cost of installation and are you satisfied with
- 1) equipment
- 2) installation

Greatly appreciate everyone’s input.
Thank you very much

This isn't answering your question directly, but all my research shows that for laser you want to go with ALP. And then augment with a Valentine or Uniden R7 for radar.

I have the alp system along with the escort 360 for radar that I no longer use.
As someone mentioned ALP is said to be the best for laser.

Pm me if interested.

I dont get the laser protection. All you need is a uniden R7 with its 2 mile range.

The question is pretty broad. I have a friend that did his own install (free) but it took quite a bit of time to do how he wanted it. Cost from a shop will really come down to where you want the controls to be located and how discrete you want the install to be.

Laser is an instant lock unlike radar which takes a few seconds. If you're hit with laser while speeding, you're getting a ticket unless the cop decides not to come after you. Laser shifters will block the transmission for a few seconds allowing you to slow down.

Do it yourself. Buy a 6’ cable and converter from usC and another B to lighter plug all from Amazon, under $15.00. Plug into the C power port under armrest center compartment. Run wire down behind the front seat. Tuck under where the rug meets the plastic kick plat under the driver door. Up the rubber molding where the front of the door closes. Under the A puller onto the dash. Escort in the far left corner top of dash with a sticky rubber. Turns off and on automatically with the car and reads fine. Cover with a baseball cap when you park the car it is hidden. I have done this with my current cars including a 992 S convert and 2020 Cayenne S as well as 15 other cars in the past.

Thank you. But it seems silly to me. My R7 picks up laser when a cop is using it on someone else up the road. So if I have a laser warning, I slow down. I just dont get why people would spend hundreds if not a thousands on something to block it right when your within eyesight of each other. The cop can still judge your speed just looking at you and a stationary object. But hey, to each there own. Thats just not for me.
