Why PTV / LSD on C4 but not on C2
I was curious to find out why PTV is an option only on the C4 which has more traction from front wheels where as PTV could benefit the RWD C2 more.

Agree that it’s curious PTV+ isn’t an option on a C2. I have PTV+ on my C4 and frankly don’t notice it working unless aggressively attacking corners on mountain runs, where I sense the combo of LSD and inside rear wheel braking help the car rotate more readily; without it the car would tend towards neutrality or understeer as the car relies on AWD and corresponding prodigious front grip to claw its way through the corner. Of course this is conjecture on my part as I haven’t seen anyone test a C4 with and without PTV+ to actually quantify what difference it makes, and it comes standard on the C4S. Despite a lack of hard evidence, having had 911s and a Cayman S with and without an LSD, PTV+ was for me one of the very few “must have” options on my C4.

Excellent question! I believe it all has to do with Porsche product strategy. They know (and so do customers) how capable base Carrera is with new 3.0 liter turbo engine, wider track and better tire set up. Making LSD and PTV an option would eat into Carrera S and all wheel drive model sales. I'm hoping they would make it an option on Carrera T.

Even with standard mLSD/PTV+ on the MT base T, they didn’t sell many...

Just a wild guess here, but maybe it has something to do with Porsche's AWD drive system in that you can't fit a car with AWD without also have PTV.
Are there any Porsche models with AWD but not PTV as standard? Be it 911 or otherwise?
