Very thorough review and practically a love letter to the 992.

Agreed. Until they started the drive part it was almost a paid infomercial.

Nope. Other than 'why buy a PDK when the manual is this good....'

Wonderful video. I love the mechanical stuff in his video's. Everyone can just get a video and talk about a car for media purposes but they actually dive into specifics which I love.

It's no so much what they said as what was shown.
The DCT electronically controlled LSD is a multi-plate wet clutch system. No planetary gears. The same as, or very similar to what Honda is using in their Ridgeline Pickups.

I'm surprised you would say that ! If you compare Harry's Garage or the report from Matt Farah, Savage Geese gives you all the reasons we chose a Porsche 992 over it's competitors. The in depth discussion of the development and engineering of our 992 or last years 991.2 is unique to Savage Geese.

Granted they do cover a lot more technical detail than some others, and do a good job, but that info has been generally available for some time through various sources, even via this forum over time. As an example here is some of the material they presented on the powertrain, dated December 2018 when the 992 was first presented at the LA Auto show.

The "driving impression" section really holds true for me as I did my first track day ever at Homestead last Saturday. Being a newbie I did everything and more wrong that one could imagine but this car just corrected for all my screwups. My instructor drove the car a few laps to show me and after that he said that recently he had driven a 991.2 GT3 at the same track and when he drove my 992S MT he was pushing almost the same speeds (he could have pushed it higher but did not) the 992S felt more planted than the GT3 - it is such an easy car to drive. It certainly made me feel more confident as the day progressed and I really appreciated what a 911 is all about and why I paid what I did for it. Now, I am really looking forward to my next track day as I have the newness and apprehension of the driving on the track for the first time behind me and I know what the car can do. The same evening my wife and I went out for dinner and on Sunday we went for a casual drive and the car was as tame as it can be - in a nut shell on the track I really APPRECIATED and was in AWE of my car and during the casual drive I really ENJOYED my car and could not keep the SMILE off my face.

Smiles11 - you will be in for a surprise based on what you summarized in your POST.
@Zeus Das SG breaks the mold with their vast understanding of technical data when reviewing cars. That is for sure.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the enthusiasm from Mark. His takes on the 911 aren’t normally as glowing as this one (see SG 991 review). So actually seeing him genuinely enthusiastic about the 992 is a massive compliment in itself.

They did not. However, most aren’t like us gear heads. So SG does a tremendous job summarizing the details into a nice package for others, so they can see where their Porsche tax dollars are going. 🤪

And then the tepid response by Harry at Harry's Garage. He didn't see much that was special with the regular 992. He was particularly annoyed by the interior noise level. He measured it at 72 decibels. Then when he critiqued the 992 Turbo S, he was just gushing with kudos. Funny then that Matt Farah, pretty much saw the Turbo S as a waste of money over competitors.

I saw the Harry's Garage video on the 992S and his annoyance with the interior noise, so I was curious and measured it myself with my Apple Watch while cruising at around 65 mph and got 54 decibels. I was also a little taken aback that he was complaining about cabin noise but gushing over the Aston Martin, albeit he was referring to driving pleasure not cabin noise but from what I know the AM is a much louder car.
