Totally agree! And Bruce you’re doing what I’m doing. Tweaking the build almost daily and I’m afraid testing my dealer’s patience

From the photos its hard to tell, but red comes top comes off as very very red in sunny days so i vote for the blue top as it looks closer to the photos most of the time so I vote for the blue! if you go with blue, you could change the brakes to black or not, as either will go. if you keep the red calipers, you may think of changing the tach to red for a little dash of red inside as well.

Congratulations Mark.

i am reposting on this thread.

2021 Targa 4s on Order with Commission No.Happy to report that I received a phone call from my dealer yesterday 08/28/20, indicating that they had attained a Targa 4s allocation for me. I'm pleasantly surprised...almost Giddy. I was thinking maybe an allocation/build date would be available during Jan through March, 2021 with delivery in perhaps, May 2021.

Lock 10/20 Build 11/06 to 11/20, with delivery to me on Jan 22nd, 2021. I'm thinking, it will be shipped to Benicia Ca and then to the dealer.

Had an 80 Targa SC, back in the day. I have spec'd the 992 out hundreds of times since the introduction of the 911 version 992. Always seem to come out to be about the same specification every time.

Thanks, Mark

I just checked. Mine moved up to 10/09. But the rest of the dates look the same, including the January delivery date.

I also changed ext. & int. to gentian blue and slate with chalk stitching.

I finalized my order today with Commission # and delivery date. freeze point is 10/10 an arrival at dealership 1/15. Really excited. The 992 Targas are awesome.

I've been tweaking colors and currently exterior is Gentian Blue and interior is slate gray/chalk. Black top. I can't get a good picture of the interior in the configurator but saw some nice ones in a 992 review video.

I think this is striking, but expensive. Any takers?

When I click on the link you provided, the video and all the pics show a Targa with PDK, yet I can't configure it without a manual transmission.

Your Porsche CodeThe Porsche Code leads directly to your configuration in the Porsche Car Configurator. Load your configuration or share it with friends. With the Porsche Code your Porsche Centre is also able to load your configuration.

looks very nice. I might do the “Wheels Painted in Jet Black Metallic” option.

Same car, same performance, same color exterior and interior. Budget 160.5k, moderate 166k, expensive 182.5k. The difference is options, like wheels, carbon fiber, radio, extra leather, lighting, seating and Burmeister.

When should reality, practicality, and dollars rule?
