Hi everyone
i just order a 992 carrera 4s with pse. Now i want to upgrade my exhaust to Capristo or Akrapovic. Please give me some recommend for both of them. I like the sound not too loud and crackle, poping when downshift.
Thanks
I've been leaning toward Akra, and one of the vendors on here actually has a pretty good sale on them right now. I had the slip-on for my BMW E90 and it was fantastic - sound quality is amazing, it's definitely more subtle - focusing more on a deeper, cleaner sound instead of just being loud and raspy. It seems like they did the same for the 992. Can't really speak on Capristo.

Both great options, I think you would be pleased with either one - but considering the Akra is titanium and slightly less expensive - it certainly gets my vote. I have one in stock at the moment and we are having a sale this month, I will PM you the details.
Was questioning the same thing as I have prior experiences with both. Seemed like the more that I read, everyone was recommending sticking with the factory exhaust and going sport cats from Soul or Fabspeed instead.

Had a full Capristo exhaust for my Ferrari F430 spider in the past and it was superb
Now, for the 992 4S Cabriolet i've ordered the Akrapovic set-up (cats + exhaust). Never had Akra on my previous cars so this time i wanted to try it on... Should be here in a few weeks and i'll let you know my impressions.
Btw consider that Capristo uses a stainless steel exhaust, while Akra uses titanium, and Capristo uses 200 cells cats while Akra uses 300 cells, not a big difference but something to point out

Choose Akrapovič, they are active supplier to Porsche Sport Cup. So they have history with Porsche for past 9-10 years.
Capristo, sounds much better and suits Italian car.
Akrapovic! We have them in stock ready for you! Contact us for pricing!

Both are extremely high quality companies dealt with them both when working at my tuning shop, More so Akra then Capristo, Capristo has always been a great choice on italian cars, and Akra has unmatched quality, I will say tho... in that video the Akra sounds like stock PSE, I know videos never do justice but it sounds very subdued. I think sport cats or catless pipes may be a better option with stock PSE, Akra looks like a fancy muffler bypass to me haha.
I have an Akrapovic on my 991.1 and although costly it was by far the best out there when I listened to them all. If I go forward with my upgrade to a 992 hope/looking to repeat the magic. Fingers crossed!

Agree the video doesn't do it full justice. Naturally it's more noticeable in person, more burbles and pops and you can hear the turbos more clearly. If you're familiar with the 991.2 system, this is similar in tone.
