I had a 991.1 Cab with standard exhaust and put in an x pipe and it really added to the sound and now I have a 991.2 GTS with PSE and I can certainly hear the exhaust but not nearly as much as in a cab. I just wonder how much you will be able to hear when inside the car - sure, someone outside the car may think it sounds great but from inside a coupe I really wonder if there is enough of a difference to justify the price.
I have a 992 and am considering Akrapovic, but to be honest. I don't hear a difference from PSE. I am pretty happy with the PSE on the 992 (loud enough to be fun, but can be quiet enough to not annoy neighbors). However I do track the car and was looking for a bit more howl and tuning. Thoughts?

It sounds very different. Louder at low RPMs for sure and very different character to the sound. PSE, like all factory exhausts, sounds a bit "muffled" to try and keep volume down. The Akrapovic is clearly louder but not obnoxious at all.
^ The current Akrapovics online that are on sale say "with OPF/GPF"
This is confusing. Did they change the exhaust recently or is this what they've been selling all along? I thought US models of our car did not get the GPF/OPF

Thanks for the reply. I need to find a 992 with it in person - video doesn't do justice it sounds like.

they sell two versions. The one you see online won’t fit your car. US ones are back ordered.
I got mine through Vivid Racing. They offered a discount to forum members for the holidays. They are my only datapoint for after market exhaust and to me they are amazing sounding and looking. They don't seem too loud other than the cold start is kind of loud, but I like that.
The sound under hard acceleration and deceleration is sublime (I needed a new adjective, didn't want to repeat).

Because they sell internationally and often times just post the catalog available to them from their distributors. I got mine from Vivid Racing as well. If you go the Akra site directly you’ll see there are two different types. Idk what to tell you man, maybe just call around?

I agree with Breny4104's assessment of the Akropović Exhaust. I also ordered it from Vivid Racing. Not always in stock, but a short wait. After a 1,500 mile or so break-in, my wife who drives a Mach 1 liked the improved sound over the PSE. My brother-in-law, also a Mustang driver said it sounded very European.
