Its not about how hard or easier it is. Its just silly to me that they will go up or down motorized. They will tilt the back motorized. But if I want to move forward or back I got to shimmy? For what we pay for these, they should come with 18 ways and comfort access as a standard IMO.
The big *** handle is ugly too. Plus it gets in the way of my custom cup holder. lol.

Comfort access is standard on MY21 too.

I guess if you change seat settings all the time, it may be a chore but how hard is it to pull the lever and slide the seat? And it's way faster. Once I set the seat, I don't move it much and getting in the back with a motor is tiresome. Especially if you are getting things in and out. Sliders is one of the reasons I got 4 ways.

As I attempt to talk myself into 4-way SS+ on my build, the only matter of concern is the potential for excessive wear on the outside driver's side seat bolster from repeated ingress and egress. Seems to me 18-way seats would allow for a setting that lowers/relaxes the seat bolsters for easier in and out, which might extend the life of the seat. If anyone has or hasn't seen significant wear on their 4-way SS+ seats after extended daily use, I'd be grateful to hear your experience. My local dealer has nothing but 14-way 992 examples on the lot, so I haven't been able to test 18-ways or 4-ways.

1. Relaxed bolstering for better ingress/egress.
2. Tightened bolstering and angling to provide a “build your own bucket” feel for spirited driving
3. Setting that pulls the seat all the way forward and down for “one-touch” access to backseats.
So my standard memory 1 startup is relaxed for normal driving. I just press the memory 2 for some track time or spirited drives.
Full disclosure... my wife has tried talking me into letting her have memory 3 instead of setting it for backseat access.... aaaand she won lol so she has #3 🤪
So other than slow access to back seat and weight gain with 18-ways, they do provide a lot of benefits.

You can do as I did. I have set 3 different settings.
1. Relaxed bolstering for better ingress/egress.
2. Tightened bolstering and angling to provide a “build your own bucket” feel for spirited driving

There's a third option as well: you could create your wife her own driver profile and have her use the 2nd key, so she will have all settings of her own every time she uses the car.. And naturally you will keep yours too.. You guys didn't think that Porsche hadn't thought through this scenario for us already?
Another strong reason to go with the 18-ways IMO. Happy wife, happy motoring...
