Thanks for the info. Question are convertible tops covered? And even better, what's excluded?

Convertible top mechanics ARE covered, the actual physical top is not, it is covered by your traditional insurance policy. "Shock Absorbers" refer to gas/nonadjustable struts, electric/air adjustable suspension is covered, terrible phrasing on Fidelity's part.

UNDER PLATINUM COVERAGE, ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS: BRAKE LININGS, BRAKE DRUMS AND ROTORS, DISC BRAKE
PADS, STANDARD MANUAL TRANSMISSION CLUTCH FRICTION DISC, PRESSURE PLATE, PILOT BEARING, THROW-OUT BEARING
AND ARM, AIR BAGS, SOLAR POWERED DEVICES, GLASS, LENSES, SEALED BEAMS, BODY PARTS AND/OR PANELS, WEATHER
STRIPPING, TRIM, MOLDINGS, LOCK CYLINDERS, TIRES, WHEELS, ALL BATTERIES EXCEPT HYBRID/EV/HYDROGEN HIGH VOLTAGE
BATTERIES AS LISTED UNDER GOLD, LIGHT BULBS, UPHOLSTERY, PAINT, BRIGHT METAL, FREEZE PLUGS, FILTERS, HEATER AND
RADIATOR HOSES, EXHAUST SYSTEM, CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SHOCK ABSORBERS, WORK SUCH AS FRONT-END ALIGNMENT
OR WHEEL BALANCING (EXCEPT WHEN REQUIRED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN), SAFETY RESTRAINT
SYSTEMS, AUDIO/SECURITY OR OTHER SYSTEMS NOT FACTORY INSTALLED, OR VINYL AND CONVERTIBLE TOPS;

Care to elaborate on that part? Not being an ***, just genuinely curious as to your take on the convertible top being covered by "normal" automobile insurance.

Fidelity covers the mechanics of the convertible top that raise and lower the top, damage to the actual vinyl/canvas/metal "roof" is apart of the body, so any body damage you'd file a claim with State Farm.

Makes sense in some cases, I guess. And care to elaborate on why I should file a claim with State Farm when I have USAA?

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, thought you were the Rennlister who mentioned State Farm above.

These can be bought at your dealership (negotiable), or at places like Steingold Volvo (no haggle one low price).

I think getting one of these is a no brainer as it can extend your warranty to a total of 10 years on an exclusionary platinum plan.

I'm waiting on a build and don't have a VIN yet to get a quote. Are people still able to get 10 year/100k mile platinum $100 deductible for $4k on a new GTS?
Thanks for the shoutout! Happy to help so many RENNLIST members, as our online system is staying busier than ever. And in the very, very near future, we'll be launching a brand new system that will provide ALL options available for Fidelity, 100% online. Still working through the details, but hopefully in the next couple weeks. And when this launches, we'll be sure to keep the system pricing as low as possible.

Our online system works great at the moment, but the lower term options don't always populate online for buyers. The new system will present every single term options, all deductibles, and all levels, in one easy online platform.

In the meantime, use our portal below for the simplest way to purchase online, and of course, use RENNLIST for the max discount!

Attached is a sneak peak of what to expect very, very soon - hopefully before the holidays - stay tuned!

I'm looking into buying a 10yr/100K extended warranty because I plan to keep my car for a long time. While I understand the Porsche one is more expensive than the Fidelity one, if they were closer in price which one would you buy? Does the Porsche one have advantages over the Fidelity one?

Can’t really speak about the Porsche Coverage, but it’s safe to say the Fidelity coverage is excellent - read about why Fidelity coverage is so well received here, and let me know if any other questions!

PM me if you're interested in contact info. He's a good guy and the real deal. No worries about the products he sells. FYI, the Fidelity Platinum listed is an exclusionary warranty, meaning everything on a given car is covered unless it's specifically excluded. Basically, it's an extension of the "bumper to bumper" factory Porsche warranty. I'll probably buy the $250 deductible, eight-year / 80K Platinum package in a few months, after I confirm our 992 is not a lemon-squeezed dud.

Vehicle: 2016 - 2020 Porsche 911 with less than 10,000 miles.

Fidelity Platinum Protection Plan:

With $0 deductible:
5 yr / 60K - $2128.00
5 yr / 100K - $3526.00
6 yr / 60K - $2376.00
6 yr / 100K - $4190.00
7 yr / 70K - $3106.00
7 yr / 100K - $4584.00
8 yr / 80K - $3766.00
10 yr / 100K - $5370.00

With $100 deductible:
5 yr / 60K - $2005.00
5 yr / 100K - $2815.00
6 yr / 60K - $2243.00
6 yr / 100K - $3355.00
7 yr / 70K - $2731.00
7 yr / 100K - $3784.00
8 yr / 80K - $3333.00
10 yr / 100K - $4468.00

With $250 deductible:
5 yr / 60K - $1782.00
5 yr / 100K - $2663.00
6 yr / 60K - $2032.00
6 yr / 100K - $3179.00
7 yr / 70K - $2637.00
7 yr / 100K - $3573.00
8 yr / 80K - $3183.00
10 yr / 100K - $4206.00

Wheel/tire plans are point of sale products that are only available at the time of sale of the vehicle. So I’d only be able to offer this if you’ve purchased the car within the last week or so and we backdate the paperwork to match.

Vehicle: 2016 - 2020 Porsche 911

Fidelity Road Hazard Wheel/Tire:

Deluxe plan:

7 years - $1650.00

6 years - $1527.00

5 years - $1366.00

4 years - $1334.00

3 years - $1208.00

Premium plan (includes cosmetic coverage for wheels)

7 years - $1886.00

6 years - $1741.00

5 years - $1552.00

4 years - $1524.00

3 years - $1368.00
