Fidelity covers the mechanics of the convertible top that raise and lower the top, damage to the actual vinyl/canvas/metal "roof" is apart of the body, so any body damage you'd file a claim with State Farm.

Since this was discussed more than a year ago, I thought it might be helpful to revisit this topic and get a consensus of what people are currently paying.
These can be bought at your dealership (negotiable), or at places like Steingold Volvo (no haggle one low price).
I think getting one of these is a no brainer as it can extend your warranty to a total of 10 years on an exclusionary platinum plan.
I'm waiting on a build and don't have a VIN yet to get a quote. Are people still able to get 10 year/100k mile platinum $100 deductible for $4k on a new GTS?

Thought I'd post this pricing schedule for a well-known, reliable reseller of Fidelity extended warranty products. I purchased the Wheel / Tire Premium plan for five year years for our new 992 Carrera S for US $1552, a savings of about $500 from what was offered at the dealer from whom we purchased the car, and another $400 from our preferred hoity-toity dealer in Dallas who will service our cars and from whom we purchased our 2019 Cayenne Turbo.

FYI, the Fidelity Platinum listed is an exclusionary warranty, meaning everything on a given car is covered unless it's specifically excluded. Basically, it's an extension of the "bumper to bumper" factory Porsche warranty. I'll probably buy the $250 deductible, eight-year / 80K Platinum package in a few months, after I confirm our 992 is not a lemon-squeezed dud.
