Guys -- this is not a characteristic of 911s -- old or new. They do not feel squirrely at speed. If your car feels unstable > 90 MPH, either there is something wrong with your car or with your perception.

I don't think its anyone's perception. I have gone much faster in other cars and did not get the same "perception"

Then their cars are screwed up - likely alignment. But it's not an inherent characteristic of 911s to be unstable at such low speeds.

My 911 is significantly more stable than my M3. At 100 it feels about as stable as the BMW at 80. I don’t know what speed it takes to feel unstable, because driver fails before car.

I feel for you guys, my 991.2 C4S with RAS is rock solid at speeds up to 100mph and cruises on the interstate like on a string. I've taken two long road trips with it and no issues.

Your 992s should do the same. Mine came with Michelins and they are great. I saw at the dealer that some of 992s are now coming with Goodyears, have had issues with the brand and wouldn't have them on any of my cars.

Those of you that do have the instability should see if tires are a common denominator. As to alignment, no issues as well, car steers straight, no pull and even wear at nearly 10k miles.

I've also varied my tire pressure, but the only effect has been that at pressures over the comfort setting, the ride is rougher, currently running 30/35 and will lower those cold pressures once summer gets boiling.

Good luck in finding the solution.

Good to know, my M4 comp came with Michelin PS4S as standard and I loved those tires a lot. A bit bummed about the Goodyear's, especially if that's the cause for the issues I'm having.

I have Pirelli P Zeros and have the issues. I don't think it's the tires--possibly an alignment problem.

And so I have Goodyears.... so if HouTexCarrera has Pirellis then we have same issue but different tyres..

This (quote above) because I have owned multiple Porsche's now (still waiting on 992 to be made) and ALL of them were extremely planted at triple digits. The red 996 turbo in my signature I took over 150+ mph multiple times with absolutely NO issues.

The ONLY times I had issues were either with alignment, a bad tire (it rarely happens, but it does happen), or when I had my front chin on the aerokit removed due to damage and wanted to see how much of a difference it made (the answer was a LOT).

I agree with this. I have had over a dozen 911's and in all honesty have never felt any instability other than when tires were over inflated or past the worn stage for driving.
911's do drive differently than a lot of other sports cars as the rear engine bias does create some different feelings when driving but having the confidence to trust the car and experience the different dynamics.
If you guys are having real issues as described get the dealer to address immediately as it is not normal.

And I was hoping that it was because I'm on 4 winter tires.
