Default KW Suspension H.A.S. Lowering Kit Now available for Porsche 992

Now available for order! One of the best lowering options on the market is now available for the Porsche 992 RWD models. These are coilover sleeve kits that will allow adjustment in the ride height like a standard coilover setup does but integrates with the OEM suspension settings as it does not replace the struts. KW suspension is synonymous with quality and these kits are no exception, this is the perfect option for those wanting a lowered ride height without a compromised ride.

KW H.A.S. Spring System for Porsche 992 RWD
Front: 0.6-1.4” (15-35mm)
Rear: 0.8-1.6” (20-40mm)

Fantastic. I have these on my M3 now and will be putting them on my 992 when it arrives.

Did this setup on a 911 and completely ruined the ride/feel. Went back to stock very quickly after. I'll never do this half-step if I wanted better suspension in a vehicle.

I'm interested to hear how this ruined the ride and feel. Can you provide a bit more detail? Thanks.

When you say it “ruined the ride/feel”, do you mean it became more harsh/bumpy, break your back over bumps, etc.? On my M3, the ride became more harsh, but it greatly increased the handling, especially at cornering, and at high speeds on the highway. It’s a trade off, you get better handling for being slightly more harsh around town and at cruising speeds. To me, totally worth it. To those that want a softer ride, definitely not worth the trade off.

sounds like a bad install to me. my experience has been exceedingly positive in other applications (bmw), and so was that of tens of other people.

I don't know about other BMW M models, but on the F8x, the ride with KW HAS (and other aftermarket springs) starts deteriorating after some several thousand miles. Dampers get destroyed way more quickly due to the mismatch between them and the HAS.

KW HAS have only ever been one of the best setups I've done to a car that wasn't an entire suspension job. Historically they are fantastic...granted the stock 992 SPASM is SO good stock I'd be curious how these stack up...

Not my experience at all, FWIW. I have, however, had a bad install with which I had many issues on my E60 M5. Once I took it to a competent shop, they sorted it and it was perfect.

I only have bad experiences with only lowering. The suspension gets 'bumpy' very often. The only good experience what i had was with a KW coilover kit V3 under my Mercedes C450.
I thinks it's impossible to improve the standard suspension of a 911, where lots of engineers with years of experience worked on.
For me, the standard Carrera is more than powerfull enough, but you can't have it with the 10mm lowered Sport-suspension. That's why i have ordered the much more expensive (15k euro) Carrera S. I don't dare to take the risk to go for a standard Carrera with this KW HAS, even if i save more than 10k euro.

FWIW......Here's an owner's experience on a 991 - great write-up:

I bought mine from TAG and they have the same listing for Base and S.
