Hey guys. Followed the directions in this thread and it worked like a freaking charm. You guys are the best!
FYI, I was able to use my fingernail to pry open the perforated panel which seems safer than a screwdriver to use. Also I used a long zip-tie to snake the wire through behind the mirror, just used some electrical tape to attach the wire and pull it back through.
I stuffed my V1 wire in between the A-pillar and windshield, and wired it to the fusebox.
Curious how you like the new model! I have my old one so dialed in, I almost don't want to mess with it (X and K bands disabled solves nearly all of the issues with the old model, IMHO).
can you share which fuse box slot you tapped into?
Referencing the picture below, when I pushed the blue connector back into it's holder, the left part of the blue connector snapped and now my dimming doesn't work due to the connection now being broken.
I am now trying to determine the part number to order it from Porsche. My dealership and I have tried a few wiring harnesses but none of them are coming up / the right ones when we order them.
Welcome any help in confirming...alternatively, I am considering buying an aftermarket waterproof connector and doing it myself. Thank you.
So, what you are saying is take the 3 wires on the left which is the part of the connector that's broken and then somehow connect it into the Dongar connector? Apologies for the "dumb" question, just trying to track what you are proposing!
