Interior buzzing, rattles, and wind noise
#31
Most modern cars a rattle free sure. They also have about as much interest to me as a washing machine.
A 992 is not about having a rattle free interior. I bet Elle Mcpherson makes a bit of noise too.
A couple of rattles in a car like this really do not affect your enjoyment of it.
It really is a very first world problem in a sub 4 second sports car that can out handle just about any other road car.
Especially when it will be fixed for free at your next service under warranty anyway.
If you want a quiet car, go an buy an S-class or a Tesla. I dont see their drivers smiling much though.

Does a Bentley have a bunch of rattles?

Wow. While I doubt you are trying to be purposefully offensive, maybe a different analogy would be more appropriate . . .

I just hit 137 with the top down and didn’t notice any wind noise. You guys must be used to Lexus or something.
Stiff suspensions have rattles, large tires have wheel noise and sports cars have wind noise.
Dude, all you do as troll here and talk down about 992s. You need a girlfriend and a car. Lol, let’s see photo of “Chance6” on paper inside a GT3 not at a dealership.
Please tell me you are joking. Haha, I am just glad someone on here is old enough to remember Elle McPherson used to be hot.

Not joking. It's no longer (thankfully) appropriate to make comments in online forums about peoples' physical appearance. Especially not cool to comment on whether one thinks a woman is up to their standards of attractiveness. Keep the locker room banter in the locker room; it has no place on a car forum.

Haha, now I get why some of you guys are overly sensitive to a little wind, a little interior and/or a little tire noise. Don't sweat the small stuff, be grateful and enjoy life. Dude, you're getting a Porsche! Who cares if someone sale Elle McPherson is hot.

[QUOTE=JesseRohr;16426704]Owned for 2.5 weeks and I've put a whopping 188 miles on the car. Here is my LONG list of rattle areas.
- Passenger side door panel. Center most section. You can press on the door panel while driving to eliminate noise.
* I had this issue on my Sept 2019 C2S. Have dealer remove door panel, there is a screw in the center of the panel that joins the upper and lower parts of the door panel. Unscrew, place a piece of foam/rubber; re-tighten; noise eliminated
- Rear passenger and driver's side seatbelt buckles. Unless you hook the belts they rattle no matter what. Terrible QC.
* I also have this issue. I just buckle the passenger seat belt.
- Driver's side door panel nearest the window switches. This is a squeaking sound, not a rattle. Apply slight pressure and noise goes away.
* My first response also fixed this issue I experienced as well.

Not yet - it’s on the list of items for the dealer to fix. Car has been in shop for 18 days getting a new PCM and new shift linkage. The tech did drive with me and confirmed the wind whistle and that it was not normal and needed to be sorted. Will let you know the outcome if it’s returned this week.

I've also developed a "squeak" in my driver's seat somehow. If I adjust the lumbar to the full (most firm) setting it goes away yet it's terribly uncomfortable.
I am more than annoyed with the QC in these cars so far.
